Soundscape

I think Soundscape is a fantastic app. It is always pretty accurate and is very helpful. I was using it to navigate to my pen teachers house the other day. Love it.

Soundscape is an invaluable tool for visually impaired people on the move. It effortlessly tells you what street you're on, what intersections are coming up, and about points of interest as you pass them. You can also use it to explore a location without actually visiting it. Highly recommended.

Have been Beta testing this alongside Microsoft Soundscape. It’s pretty much identical. The developers are really responsive to feedback. Such a relief to be able to continue using this fantastic app. I use it alongside Google Maps. It gives me all the visual data in Google maps in an auditory way. Have tried lots of other apps and they’re all quite annoying in the way they announce things. Soundscape is very intuitive and just announces what you want at a time you want it, ie the upcoming junction at a sensible distance. The coffee shop you’re about to pass. Other apps repeatedly continue to announce things half a mile after you’ve passed. Very irritating snd audio overload. I just don’t get on with them.

Fantastic app, specially being a blind person. It helped me very much going out and about on my own. Thank you
