Spades - Cards Game

I usually enjoy Spades but I am going to have to check out a different app. AI partner needs some serious input regarding the rules of Spades! Consistently loses the hand for “our team.” Makes the game frustrating instead of enjoyable.

The game played just fine. But the ads were so often & aggressive that I just couldn’t take it any more. I deleted the App.

I love this game…but for ffs…why does it keep freezing up? Then I have to delete the app, sign into my Apple account to download it again and right in the middle of winning…argh!

AI is constantly overbidding very frustrating. Really enjoyed the game and I realize you can lose but it is constant!!!!

I really like this game. It’s no frills and the ads aren’t excessive. My only complaint is that the bozo computer partner consistently overbids. It doesn’t take into account what my bid is, so if I bid 5 it might bid 6. Or, it just won’t get the bid it makes - it might bid 4 and get only 3, while I made my bid, which puts us in the negative. Other than that, I like the game.

Unlike so many game I play on the apps that let you win a few to get you hooked, then AI sweeps in and you loose almost every time, this one is balanced and seems fair even if you loose. Thanks developers for a fair game. The scoring error can easily be fixed by the programmer. It has to deal with a team where one partner bids nil and gets a busted nil, lets say +2, then their opponent bids 5, but only makes four. The team score should be -50 for the busted Nil and -50 for the partner that did not make their bid of 5 for a combined score of-100 since neither player met their bid. Tricks scored as a result of a busted nil do not combine with the partners bid as the partner must independently meet their bid when their partner bid NIL.rules apply as far as sandbags, making the bid, etc. The team loses -100 (or -200 if it was a double/blind Nil) for the set nil, but scores the partner's bid normally. 2) Tricks collected by a set Nil bid are void and count for nothing. The partner must make their bid completely independently.

I like this game and the way it plays but after every hand played there is an ad. It takes longer to get through the ad then it does to play the hand. I have the sound shut off on the game but every time the ad comes on it makes me jump because of the loudness of it.

This game is a little bit entertaining but the main problem that I have with it is that my partner never follows my lead never pull’s the Spades and continuously feeds the other team cut books. The creators need to figure something out about that because the AI partner is a special kind of special.

The computer is really poor at counting tricks, the play algorithm is really simple and doesn’t adapt to breaking nils and has no score awareness, it seems to have no memory of who is short of which card and constantly opens suits in which the opponent is short. It’s basically impossible to play with sandbag penalties because it requires more precision than the computer partner can do. All in all, it’s good for learning the game. But once I figured out some strategy it was clear how lacking the algorithm is. The ads are insane… knocked off 2 stars since ads after every hand

First, there are waaaay too many ads that are waaaay too long in between each and every hand. Second, your partner is your absolute worst enemy. You’ll lose more hands and games because your partner drastically overbids or catches every bag it possibly can or will seemingly willfully sabotage your nello bid. Cut waaaay back on the ads and add a cutthroat option to the game and I may come back. Until then, app is deleted from my phone. My time is waaaay more valuable than wasting on this nonsense.
