Oof it’s very bad
I would’ve given this 5 stars but since I have a player who was going to use this app as a knowledge domain cleric, it’s unfortunate that the auto selection for class and subclass doesn’t include all the appropriate spells (or at least one spell anyways). This wouldn’t be a problem if they have fixed it anytime in the last month since I reported the issue. Specifically, the spell I’m aware of that’s missing (if there’s 1 there may be more) from that particular subclass is Nondetection (ironically). Considering the frequency of updates for this app you’d expect the report of a missing spell that’s part of the base game rules to be one of those things that get pushed to the front of the “to-do” list. It’s not like it’s some uncommon or new special feature. It’s been a part of that class since D&D 5e first came out… Again, the frustration is with the lack of action on the part of the developer(s), and it leads me to wonder what other classes or subclasses may be missing spells like Nondetection whose absence I only noticed as a fluke. Edit: After reading the developer’s response, to my review, I don’t remember receiving the original response they mentioned (though it could’ve be either sent to junk by accident or I simply completely forgot the response altogether). I now see how that bit works. I thought the character level was only to keep track of spell slots and not which spells I can see within the domain. I think what threw me off is that all other upper level cleric spells seem to be visible at any level and only the subclass specific spell list becomes unlocked through leveling up. I currently set up the character level to 5th like mentioned. Now I see Nondetection, but I’m also able to look all the way to 9th level spells at the same time. I think that incongruence between all class spells visible at any level and only subclass spells visible at specific levels is a little weird, though, to be honest.
This app was indispensable to me just a few weeks ago. But then they changed their whole system into a monthly subscription. They removed spells and information that was once free and included, and now it’s only available at a price. If this system continues I will replace this app with for any other one I can give that doesn’t gauge their established loyal customer base.
Great starting point and easy guide. Well organized and nice illustrations as well. Good resource for any player
Very cool app
No more rifling around in the back of the Player’s Handbook, silently mouthing the ABCs as I tackle the hundred pages of alphabetically ordered spells. Thanks so much for this app, it saves me so much time.
It’s an amazing app, but maybe add a homebrew spells option, and some spells seem to be wrong... Such as Mirror Image where instead of AC it’s CA and small issues like that
Great dm tool to keep track of spells use it whenever my players have questions about their spells
