I love this company. The app is simple and easy to use. Quick to set up and the sound quality is excellent

I’m all for supporting indie audiobooks however this platform is simply non functional, and what a shame. Started listening to the book in my library, paused it after some hours, came back to it later and it started playing from a random point that I’d already listened to! Not even from the beginning, just a random 15-20min before where I left off. Nevermind, I somehow found my place. Now I’ve come back to the book again, and while it has remembered the place the stopped, the play button is unresponsive. Or rather, I can push play to pause, skip around 15sec ahead or back, slide the chapter minute bar but… nothing happens. I can’t play the book. Tried using the web player and it’s the same. Hugely disappointed.

It won’t even play an audiobook I’ve allegedly bought!

I really like what this all is trying to do, great seeing an alternative to the bigger players. Unfortunately the app is lacking some basic functionality and some annoying bugs. For example you can only see what’s left to play for the chapter that’s playing, not all book. The app also doesn’t remember wished playback speed, making it very annoying to change back every time.

A pleasure to discover Spiracle. Clear and beautifully branded. These guys are developing a great offering and the player is a simple adjunct to my Library and the wider curated collection held online. I look forward to seeing new recommendations and feeling part of the community.

Lovely little app for listening to Spiracle audiobooks recommended by my trusted source while on the move. Easy to navigate. Particularly like the timer function too.

I love the minimal aesthetic and the easy access to my Spiracle collections. The app's smooth user interface and remarkable audio quality really create an immersive listening experience, which is just what I want.

I love the Spiracle Player - it’s visually beautiful and simple and synchronises my audiobooks. It’s a pleasure and does everything I need.

My player has stopped working—the play button produces nothing and the timer on the track does not advance. Looking at the FAQs to see what to do I see that there’s such restricted functionality that if you want to delete your audio book from your phone when you’re finished you have to delete the entire app and start again. This doesn’t suit anyone who wants to have multiple books on the go at once (as all will be deleted and places, presumably, lost) or anyone who reads a lot. I bought a year’s subscription but I’m now regretting it and will be sticking with audible. The app also does not tell you how far through the whole book you are as far as I can see.

A simple but perfectly formed companion app for my Spiracle Audiobooks’ library. Now it is very easy to download and listen to my Spiracle collection whilst on the move. And it looks wonderful.
