It’s an app for a gym. It’s not perfect nor does it have to be. It provides the means I need to sign in at the desk and register for classes.

With this members-only app, you can reserve your spot in a group class, learn more about our instructors, schedule a personal training session, update your personal preferences, and more.
Through The Sporting Club at the Bellevue’s app, you can:
-Book group fitness classes/court time/golf simulators
-Book personal training
-View/edit your personal information
-View club information
-Add or remove payment information (not EFT payment type)
-View and send statements/ check-in history
-View current packages on file or purchase new packages
-Receive push notifications for important club announcements

Newest version wants full access to your calendar
The previous version of the app worked with write-only access, so it was easy to add a class I’d registered for as a calendar item. With the new version, write-only access shows as an option in iPhone Settings, but it doesn’t actually work without full access. There is no good reason for the app developer and/or the gym to have access to everything on your calendar, and it’s really odd that this was added in the update.
