SportsEngine - Team management

The filter games only option seems to have been removed from the schedules tab. Pls bring it back. Also is SportsEngine moving to a CDN soon? It's really slow using SportsEngine from Asia.

This app has a number of issues but here are the worst: - Scrolling issues when composing messages. Bottom of page gets cut off and doesn't scroll with text so once you exceed the height of the page the text becomes hidden behind the keyboard. Also after adding an opponent the opponents toward the bottom aren't selectable until you swipe up the app window and swipe it back down. - Spell check disabled. Predictive text and auto correct don't work in the app when composing messages. - No ability to create massaging groups. For example, if you want to message just your coaches you have to manually select all their names each time. - No ability to attach anything to a message - Event/game locations and opponents not saving. Reverts back to TBD after saving changes. - Desktop version is even worse than all this. Pay for TeamSnap or GameChanger. Both are better.

This is so much worse than any other team management app. Parents, Coaches, admins all agree that this is just aweful.

We were looking to switch our Varsity, JV and Modified teams to this app and leave team snap. Every single parent had an issue with adding a guardian or an additional email to the rostered player. It shouldn’t have to be that hard!!! I had to walk every parent through how to figure it out. And now I’ve resorted to just adding the parents as staff and sending new invites to each parent…very time consuming when they should easily be able to do that on their end, but it’s too difficult to figure out!

The app is user friendly and adding/removing to your roster is easy. The problem that me and my team have encountered is that notifications are delayed, or just straight up missed (and this is by 15 people in our group), which results in parents missing games or practice. Need to improve notifications so it’s clear that a message has been sent on the group chat (e.g. have the option to make a sound when a new message is sent, etc).

I started using this app last year for a flag football team, but recently the app keeps crashing.

There are A LOT of sports team management apps out there. If SE wants to compete, it has a lot of room for improvement. The following improvements and capabilities are needed: - ability to post/run volunteer signups for a specific event - ability to selectively chat with with individual groups instead of whole team - ability to email individual people instead of all the guardians for a specific player. - to not delete all the previously input availability if you edit an events details.

Can’t “duplicate” an event so I always have to add ALL info over and over again for the same event that happens 2-3 times per week. The events aren’t always the same schedule so “repeat” function doesn’t work. Total waste of time compared to Team Snap. No typing autocorrect, which seems minuscule until you realize how much it’s actually used….. No custom location in events. I have to pick a Google based location.

This app is constantly crashing and the chat is the worst. If you switch apps it’ll delete all your chat text you’re working on. Over and over the keyboard will magically cover the textbox and you can’t see what you’re typing anymore. Really really frustrating.

It’s a decent app except for the numerous times the app delays me in entering the team chat room. Very annoying!
