STORY app exists to encourage believers to share the story of what God has done and is doing in their lives.
There are many references in Scripture as to why testifying, or sharing your story, is an important part of following Jesus. We have been inspired by two specific passages.:
1 John 1:5-9 and Revelation 12:11.
The 1st John passage describes how living in the light, being open, honest, and vulnerable, leads to greater community via true and authentic fellowship.
The Revelation passage reveals how we obtain the courage and the vision to live in the light. Belief in the blood of Jesus creates in us an entirely new creature whose identity and destiny does not belong to this world, this life, or even our physical bodies.

We hope having an opportunity to share in this virtual world, will also lead to a stronger culture of testifying in the physical world.
As the 1st John passage indicates, we need a healthy culture of testifying and being vulnerable in order to have a rich and thriving community where people are truly known and know one another.
Our hope:
That the STORY app can encourage fellowship and unity as our various communities begin to make a more consistent practice of living in the light through the app.
That we as a church will be able to dive deeper into our true identity that has been given us through the blood of Jesus.
That fear will be decreased. It can be daunting to step into the light for fear of rejection and uncertainty etc. We hope that by seeing others practice vulnerability, there will be a growing strength for others to follow.
Some feel that they are not good at speaking, or that they are not good at filming themselves. We are providing simple resources and tools to hopefully help with any hurdle that people face in sharing their Jesus stories whether that's fear of speaking, or uncertainty around technology etc.
We hope that God will use this for his greater glory and for the building up of His church!
