StudentUniverse: Cheap Travel

This app crashes whenever I try to make a payment to my flight ticket… or try to enter my details in.., it’s actually embarrassing how much it crashes..

Definitely not cheap that flights I’ve found myself. Do you have to verify yourself as a student? I don’t know if that’s the reason why or it’s just a con.

First time customer, and I would DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND A COMPLETE SCAM

For the love of god go to the actual airline when booking tickets, do not use student universe they’ve been an absolute mess. I am from the UK but was studying in South Korea for a year and made the mistake booking a return flight with these lot. Terrible decision. When I got the ticket I was told it was an economy ticket and to find out then baggage details I should go to the Lufthansa website to see their policy, I did so and saw I had a big check in which I needed so I thought that was fine. Then when I check in for my flight it tells me something completely different, I have an economy flex ticket which only has one smaller carry on. I am moving my worldly belongings across the world I need more than one carry on backpack. Luckily I checked in online with Lufthansa and was able to add a check in bag and it was alright but that cost me £50 and it made it the same piece it would have been booking with Lufthansa directly. Then it got worse with the return flight as the flight was cancelled and student universe decided to not tell me that and I only found out the day before when I checked in again. It ruined my plans for Christmas as I got there a day later as they pushed my flight a full day back. I understand that this happens quite a lot with airlines, especially at Christmas but the fact that student universe didn’t tell me and it still says that my flight should have been on the wrong day, it never updated, is wrong. They would have known ages ago but just didn’t think it was worth telling me and again I only found out when I checked in online. Save yourself the trouble and do not use this service, IT’S TERRIBLE.

I have used StudentUniverse on a number of occasions and I can honestly say they are great. I did make a mistake when booking and I was charged a bit more than I would have like but they were still pleasant and tried to help me. I am of course going to use them again, like always! Don’t believe the few negative feedback….oh and I have not been paid for the review, it’s my own experience.

I booked a refundable ticket and when my travel plans changed I tried to change my flight. However the help desk are adamant that my ticket is non refundable and I have to pay an extra charge to cancel my flight. I received no help in booking a different flight home and am still trying to cancel my flight because I don’t think I should pay extra just to say I’m cancelling it. Only book if you are 100% sure if your plans and that they won’t change.

Worst app I’ve ever used !! Got to the airport (Sydney) and app wouldn’t recognise my email or password - even though the email was in my account I shall delete the app after posting Cheers Martin
