Extremely misleading claims of being “offline first” and “private” when by default your transcript is sent to OpenAI for formatting. This feature should be opt-in.

I like the app - the interface is minimal, and I can easily start recording and choose how to process my text and create formats and have access to multiple language models. I think all that is great. The issue I have is that sometimes, when I record a long message - let's say over 20 minutes - on the iOS app, clicking "Process" doesn't work. Instead, the processing crashes silently and fails to produce a transcript. Furthermore, it creates a new entry in the recordings catalog indicating "no voice found in recording" with an empty recording. It's unusual because if I keep retrying, I'll soon have multiple empty entries. It’s not easy to delete these entries currently, I have to tap to open a specific entry, then tap deletion. It would be nice if I could delete from the list of recordings itself. Then, I couldn't find an option to synchronize my data between my MacBook and iPhone. Το move a recording from one device to the other, I have to figure out how to extract recordings manually. It would be beneficial to have an option to sync data between devices.

You could offer both audio recordings and optional transcription, so users can choose the level of privacy they’re comfortable with. Some may prefer recording without transcription, while others might value the convenience of voice-to-text for ease of review. There is a level of Transparency: Explain to users in the app’s privacy policy and settings how local transcription works and how data is managed. Transparency builds user trust, especially regarding privacy for health-related or sensitive data.

With SW I can collect my thoughts while walking. Also, SW picks up your voice at a very low whisper. This app is great!

On iOS, I particularly appreciate the seamless integration with Shortcuts and the specialized keyboard, which enhances the app’s ease of use across various applications. These additions make dictation more fluid and accessible, demonstrating thoughtful design that considers real-world usage. That said, I do wish the iOS app had the same range of advanced Speech-to-Text options as the macOS version. Specifically, I’d love to see the ability to incorporate the OpenAI Whisper STT model directly within the mobile app. Perhaps this feature exists, and I’m just not seeing it, but expanding model selection on iOS would be a fantastic improvement and bring the app to full parity across platforms. Overall, SuperWhisper is a superb tool that has genuinely streamlined my workflow. The accuracy, functionality, and integration make it a must-have for anyone looking to boost productivity through voice dictation. Highly recommended! 11/10! I've been using superwhisper iOS daily now for writing journal. Without a vocabulary function makes it very challenging. Having to edit many of the common words again and again each time. This is a oversight that should be addressed. Otherwise it’s a great app. I have another AI tool similar, and I paid for both. Superwhisper while output is good, manual corrections of words makes me thinking to cancel the subscription …

I am using the free ultra version. Why do I need to create an account to use this?

I see the shortcut available in my keyboard in Gmail, Facebook, and Instagram. But I can’t get it to show in Messages or Outlook for texts and emails. This will be very helpful to have it right there. Thx
