SwiftBites - Learn How to Code in Swift with Interactive Mini Lessons

It is an good app to learn the swift basics, but it’s a bit outdated. And the app would be much better if they explained why the different commands works like they do.

Unfortunately right after I finished the first lesson I was asked to sign up to receive a swift cheat sheet. I did so and was sent to a link that dead ended on a marketing site. After falling into that trap and continuing to the next lesson I found that everything is locked and your forced to upgrade. Seeing how I heard there wasn’t much more to it I didn’t fall for that one. It’s really unfortunate because it seemed like an awesome interactive learning tool. Bummer... really disappointed. Time to delete and unsubscribe!

Absolute crap, don’t bother.

At first, this app seemed like it was going to be exactly what I was looking for. It was free and I was learning. Then, after finishing the first module, I found that everything was locked unless I paid $3. OK, I paid it and continued on, only to find that there wasn’t much more. Of all that I know is needed to learn to program in Swift, this barely scratched the surface. Plus every link that is provided takes you to an unrelated marketing site. great concept, poor execution.

I really like this app. For an objective c developer it's a great way to learn some swift in your spare time. Nicely designed

This program is easy to use with clear indications of your progress through the tutorial. Tutorials are surprisingly easy to follow with great explanations on essential syntax followed by sample codes that help test your understanding of the concepts. Each modules build upon the previous modules, so it would make sense not skipping around and to start from the begging to the end if you were a beginner like me. I feel that I'm getting more comfortable with understanding what the code does. Thanks for developing such a great learning App!

This app is a great lightweight intro to the most basic aspects of Swift. You'll be learning in a fairly passive manner given that you're answering questions rather than writing code, but this makes it accessible very unintimidating. The pacing / structure kept me motivated to complete levels. Good job!
