Sykes: Book Holiday Cottages

When I put in 2 miles from the destination a place for 2 people I don't need a house yo sleep 14 several miles away! Some reviews are so bad one wonders why Sykes accepts the listing.

Sykes is a great business to rent from. The lodgings are all comfortable and at decent prices. We always check Sykes first when we travel.

I booked sea point in anglsea over a year ago and was looking forwards to it, as was my family. Then on Sunday i was looked at my App. Cancelled ! Monday came around, nothing. My wife tried phoning, the waiting time goes from 10 mins to 13 mins to 15 mins. So I tried Tuesday/Wednesday with the same frustrating out come. When you message them it gives you three opinion Including Changing the number of pets you want to take ?? This was the one I used to let them know how I felt, only to realise it was a robot. So I sent a email, I got a email back saying “this email address is non responsive” ?? What’s the point ? Then a human finally got in touch by message on Wednesday and ask me when to contact me, I gave her two times I’d be available to speak, 1-130 and 3-6 no phone call. I always book well in advance to get a good property for my budget. I had a detached house, two en suites, two balconies. All very nice. Now, I’d be lucky to get a terrace house ! To cut a long story short, once you’ve paid no one cares. If you phone new booking straight through like a flash ! Got a problem they ain’t interested. I asked to be compensated by maybe sorting out a property that was more expensive but they said the owners wouldn’t agree ! What’s it got to do with them ?? Surly it’s up to Sykes to resolve it not some random property owner !! Absolutely terrible service, now ive got to wait 3-5 working days for my money back, imagine saying that to them why you owe them money. Very poor will no recommend

It would be very helpful and save time if ground floor, no step bedrooms and bath/shower rooms were clearly stated or offered as a selective option. So many beautiful properties but after scrolling through have to reject.

The whole setup is impossible. I have been trying to correct your booking error and am swtched from site to site. Phoning the numbers given brings no result except yet another site. Am advised to correct on my “customer portal” - what on earth is that? Am totally disillusioned.

Cancelled holiday location with no notice or compensation.

We have had 3 separate holiday cottages with Sykes and every one has been first class and have already booked for a fourth in July. Highly recommended

Every piece of correspondence from Sykes is illegible when printed as a light grey font is used!!! Please alter it to a BLACK typeface !!!

I was supposed to get £20 for booking early and got nothing you also took the full £652 when I asked to pay the standard deposit and your website is difficult to navigate
