Taste: Movie & TV Suggestions

I love this app. It gives me suggestions about tv shows and movies according to my ratings. I adore the interface. It is super user-friendly. Can’t recommend enough!

Overall amazing app that has put me onto some great movies and shows. I usually don’t trust the recommendations as much as it tends to recommend movies that aren’t as enjoyable as the recommendations infer. really is a hit or miss because it does recommend some good movies I’ve never heard of. Great app overall, just need to adjust the algorithm a little bit.

Give us the option to write multiple reviews if shows have more theb one season and it does not release back to back

In concept this app is awesome. Serving as a platform to pull together shows and movies across all streaming sources to compare and build an algorithm that recommends you new media based on your unique taste is a great idea with obvious value to consumers. I really want to like this app… BUT honestly I’m not sure that it actually is good at gauging my taste at all. For example, I have actually never once in my life watch a sports movie all the way through and enjoyed it. But for some reason it is convinced that I must love sports media, because 4 of my top picks are sports movies and shows that I really have no interest in at all. I did notice how the app tracks other demographics such as your gender age and nationality and I imaging other 25 year old American guys might enjoy sports movies but that’s not a great basis to formulate a recommendation off of. Movies that I have rated as amazing often do not have a match score that is reflective of my love of them, some of my “amazing” rated movies rank as low as a 60% or even 50% match. It just feels like there’s definitely more work to do to make this app truly reflective of one’s unique taste.

Why did you delete all my seen movies and ratings? Hundreds of movies gone. This took so many hours of work to track all the movies I’ve seen in my life. I’ll never be able to compile that list again. I’ve been working on it for years. Whoever made that decision has no ability to consider user experience. The app is now pretty but pointless for me. You really screwed me.

App is rendered useless in its current form.

I can’t seem to access the app through my swipes hopefully this can be fixed.

No complaints! I am curious as to how they base they’re taste “percentages” and if it changes based off the things you’ve rated. I’ve rated some titles as amazing but still they show as low numbers like 50% recommended. Also would be cool to still save shows/films even after rating in case I wanted to remember to watch them later!

I don’t understand why this movie app doesn’t have “Longlegs” (starring Nicolas Cage) in its database. It’s one of biggest horror films of the year. How come people can rate and review that movie on Taste??
