The Apple TV app can be easily a 5 Star! After selecting all the favorite channels which shows perfectly on the guide; however to preview other channels in the bottom of screen, it shows all channels and doesn’t keep the filtering for the favorites or customization. Ie if select all sports channels or news channels as the favorite and all I want to see are those channels, one shouldn’t scroll through 100 channels. Otherwise the Apple TV is perfect.

The app doesn’t even get to the login. The crave app is also not working in the app nor in the web. It’s looking for a auth0 domain that doesn’t exist. You can’t also use the Telus tv plus website in safari or chrome or DuckDuckGo , basically nothing of Telus tv works in iPad
Casting to TV is choppy
I like the “Guide” option, but if I have to log in using my Telus account, it should know which channels I have access to. It knows if I can’t watch a channel, so why even show it to me? Instead I get everything and have to figure it out myself
And casting is terrible. It pauses to buffer every 10-15 seconds. If it’s a connection problem… well this is Telus internet too. After about 30 minutes, the cast just hangs and I have to restart the app on my tablet. It’s so frustrating.

This app needs to be fixed I am just trying to watch EURO 2024 and I can’t due to this very laggy app not even letting me log in due to its trash servers. However, this isn’t the only problem. I downloaded the TSN app to watch the EURO 2024 from there, and I clicked “log in with TV provider” and I obviously clicked Telus. I put in the correct credentials, and guess what it says. “Sorry, we are unavailable to contact the service right now.” So, I’m guessing the app isn’t the only problem Telus is facing. It’s the servers in general. Developer if you see this, this is a big sign to fix the damn app and the servers. Please and thank you

The complaint has been posted 1 year ago and Telus never bothered to address the issue. I reported this when i accepted the offer and took the service in Feb. customer support said they will look into it, i called them back in May the support hang up on me and never called back.

AppleTV Telus app latest version issues
The previous version of this app had its issues and I was happy to see an update until I used it. The newest version has glitches in the guide that jumps around instead of staying at the current time. The app will not allow the Apple TV to shut off and stay off if it is open on the screen. It causes the appletv to turn back on until you exit the app. The app intermittently tells you that you need to login to watch a show when it is logged in already. When I go to enter my info it asks if I want to log out and the channels will work without entering my info again. This app needs a lot of work.

Frustrating that this app does not work on my iPhone 7 I’m not upgrading my phone (or purchasing another phone) just so it might or might not work. Thumbs down 👎
