Built specifically for Texas, this official app helps hunters and anglers report harvest, access many public hunting areas, and view license holdings from your phone or tablet while helping Texas Parks and Wildlife Department manage healthy game and fish populations.

With Texas Hunt & Fish, you can:
- Connect and display your hunting and fishing license (paper license holders must still carry physical tags when pursuing tagged species)
- Perform mandatory hunt harvest reporting for wild turkey, white-tailed deer, and alligator gar
- Digitally tag harvested game and fish (requires purchase of an appropriate digital hunting and/or fishing license)
- Report and track harvest of many other native game animals as well as flounder and red snapper catches

- Perform electronic onsite registration (eOSR) for many public hunt areas
- Download maps of many public hunt areas for use with or without data service
- View CWD Zone boundaries and, if location service are enabled, determine your position in relation to the nearest zone

Nice redesign, bad performance

The new app layout is clean and makes digital tagging great…when it works. But the app is slow, and get worse when there is little to no cell signal. Took several restarts to tag a buck this weekend, and at once point it wasn’t able to find my location even with 2 bars of LTE coverage. If performance is improved this will be a great app, but otherwise I may just go back to paper tags next season.

Horrible app. Can’t buy basic freshwater resident fishing license online. Why don’t they fix it.

No good…

The app is practically worthless. I would leave 0 stars if I could. The app has serious issues with the ‘harvest/tagging’ feature. It seems like there is no single problem based on the other reviews I have read. If TPWD would like to have this app reflect accurate harvest info they need to seriously overhaul this thing. Like others have said the app never should have launched.

flagged game warden

The app works great for me and it’s way easier than using paper tags but be warned if you buy your tags the day you hunt and tag your deer, it will inform the game warden and they will call you and come see you. i know from experience.

App won’t run

After downloading the app and trying to open it, it just sits and says “loading” indefinitely. Simply doesn’t work and wasn’t ready for roll out. Testing should have highlighted a very obvious flaw.

Trying to follow the rules

I elected for a digital license but it will not record my harvest. Going back to paper tags next year.

Doesn’t work with cell service

As the title says, I try to download map for tagging and the app alerts me I don’t have internet, which I do, and then says to finish the tag and upload later. Close the alert and then the app won’t let me finish the tag because I need to select point on map to continue… which I can’t because the app thinks I don’t have internet.

App CRASH

The app will not open, and continues to crash during the initial loading.

Not working!

I downloaded the app and clicked on it to open. It goes to the starting page and then closes out of the app completely. Tried multiple times with no success.

Works Great

Simple interface and descriptive, maybe add a hunting calendar / almanac.
