The Discovery Bible

This app has been such a blessing to me. I use it multiple times per week when the Holy Spirit prompts me to study certain passages more deeply. The word studies are amazing. They help someone who doesn’t know any Hebrew or Greek to understand the original meanings of the words as they would have understood them at the time the Bible was written. You also can see the difference in the the way we parse English words versus the way they were parsed in Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic. This helps us understand verse tenses, participles, and such. There are multiple Bible commentaries built in so you can read how scholar view each verse and compare them to gain a better understanding of the text. I am looking forward to the full release when I can start sharing it with others. Thank you for the hard work you have done in researching and helping those of us who don’t have time to learn another language grow closer to the truth of what God has written.

I purchased and have been using the discovery bible on my computer. Then I found out there was an app which got me really excited, because I like to study on the go. The app runs great and is easy to operate which is awesome, but I mainly use the discovery bible for the emphasized words. So I really wish those were available on more than just the psalms and 1 John. I’d gladly pay for those, but it appears it hasn’t been released yet. So I probably won’t use this app unless I happen to be studying the psalms or 1 John.

The Lord put this book in front of me, and it has been a blessing. For example: ephesians chapter 2, the Greek word used for dead is nekros (Greek word for literally dead), this means it was referring to us being literally dead (not alive) in sin. I understand the point was dead objects do not grab, and we are slaves and dead in sin. Until being raised from the dead in Christ Jesus (new creations). This book/app is awesome.
