Описание

War in America (The French and Indian War) is a war game set in the 17th and 18th century's during the discovery period. It is a turn-based conquest game pitting 4 European nations and 16 Indian nations in an epic struggle for control of the east coast of North America. Use your armies to explore, conquer and settle new lands. Develop and build towns and villages, gather resources and trade with your neighbours to make treaties and alliances. You can play as either the Indian or European nations, using any one of the many great commanders to lead your army to victory or defeat.

Loved playing the game for years. There is a bug where you can destroy your European capital, move an army, click on it again, destroy, get infinite money, etc.

would consider myself a veteran of this game, I’ve been playing for years, which is why I’m writing this review. I am also currently working on making a full video review of the game, because this is truly an underappreciated masterpiece. 💯 I play this game on ‘Hard’ difficulty exclusively because the other difficulties are way too easy, as I have mastered the mechanics of this game inside and out. However even hard difficulty is still too easy and isn’t a difficult challenge anymore. The key is population + placing your forts at strategic choke points (like alongside rivers and mountain ranges), which isn’t all that hard really. (For the Europeans atleast) #1 place your settlers alongside native tribes, and focus on growing your population as a whole. (More income, more troops, and cities offer an obstacle to enemies) Remember, population is power. #2 Once your region’s borders with fortresses, (which you can tell by what kind of tribes are settled there, there are pretty much 4, Canada, Northeast, The South, The Midwest) destroy all the tribes and replace them with settlements. As you no longer have to worry your military anymore (as you should have secured your borders already) you can spend your whole income on food to attract new colonists to grow your population. Keep doing this and by turn 40ish you should have a “core” population of 500,000 which is what you need to win. You can make further conquests out of your core region if you want, but it’s really not as fun as early game combat, because by this point you basically have limitless resources, and there’s no skill required to storming your enemies with 5,000 troops and 50 cannons. Indeed skill and decision is very important in early game combat. You have limited resources and all the enemies around you are in equal, if not superior footing. I often find myself getting overwhelmed in the first few turns if I’m not careful. #1 Terrain #2 Commander Skill. #3 Diplomacy (The pen is mightier than the sword!) #4 Development #5 Naval Operations So to start off with the terrain feature, just Brilliant! You can use rivers, forests and flatlands to your advantage, just as you would be able to in real life. Forests offer a defensive bonus to army’s and garrisoned troops, so making sure you control the forests during war is key. Rivers are difficult to attack across and give the player a great place to form their defensive line. I often find myself defending along rivers, and trying my best

Great Game

I really love this game, as well as 2 of your other games. I like how the generals have impact on your armies, and I like how the food system works. But I really need this specific thing to be added: PASS AND PLAY! I want to play this with my dad so bad but I can’t because this is single player. Basically how you made it so the AI takes its turns, all you have to do is add an extra player turn to one of the nations. But even if you don’t read this I still love your games. And if you add pass and play please also add it to your other games.

This is an excellent game. I don’t play any console games or computer games, however this game…. This is just great. I’ve got an old IPad that hasn’t updated in ages that I play on. I’m writing this review on my phone just so I can support the maker… I’ve tried playing “Colonies At War”, but it’s so different with how the tools work & such I prefer this style. The only thing I’d change about F&I is I wish there was a mode to create your own scenarios. For instance, pick a nation & pick where to start & where to place other nations. Then play that match etc. Would be fun! Thanks again, God bless.

Good game

Now this game is truly something great I love the mechanics the balancing everything even tho when I first got it I did have some difficulty with it because of how unique the game is I had never seen anything like this on mobile and I really hope John Gregory makes more games like this one but maybe one or two set in medieval times or maybe one set in Roman times even tho it would take very long but the only reason I didn’t give this a 5 star rating is that the game after every turn you get hit with a match maker game or something like that and that is very annoying because it is the same 60 second add every turn that isn’t close to related to this game I wouldn’t mind if it was a different add every now and then but I just always get the same add with the stupid music I truly do hate the add now that is shown but other than that I really love this game and hope it is improved even more and if you get this game please don’t delete it because you don’t understand the gameplay just work on it and understand the game more Thank you for taking the time to read this review
