Quality writing, and an easy app to use. Would highly recommend the Indy.

Can’t even load the main screen or view a single article without signing up or signing in. I want to read the news and nobody should be required to create an account just to do that. Deleted.

Nowhere near as good as the best newspaper apps. Limited functions, articles and variety. Website much better and user-friendly.

I subscribed and every time I try to log in I have to restore the subscription ! Doesn’t always work

Being hassled to review something immediately after starting it is not conducive to a positive review. I finally gave up and decided to give a review on the 5th request in 5 minutes. I signed up to the Independent after adverts made even the free articles impossible to read. Now I’m being hassled to give reviews. Unless things improve I will be cancelling and ignoring all Independent content. What I have successfully read has only been of moderate quality, so at the moment it’s not looking worth the hassle.

It’s disappointing that “The Independent”, still uses a decade old scam of enticing you with an introductory offer and then fails to give advance notice of prior to the subscription being renewed. I am sure that the offer said that advance notice would be given before any funds would be taken from my account. The deduction has come at a bad time. Had there been an advance notice, then i would have renewed my subscription 3 weeks later. It’s a shame as I enjoyed the format and news content

Posting comments on stories is a great feature, but so difficult to use that it’s virtually useless. You have to sign out, then sign back in again, every time you comment - by which time your comment disappears and you have to re-write it.

A newspaper that actually prints news items not Sensationalism.

I downloaded the app and took advantage of the 6 months for £1 offer which popped up when I opened the first page. The paper charged me £99 and refuses to refund as the app came via Apple and I’ve had an Independent subscription in the past. It seems the offer is only open to new customers. I’ve cancelled my subscription and have deleted the app. If I could leave no stars I would. I feel like I’ve been mugged and there’s nothing I can do about it.

I was reading the article then I found out you could listen to it wonderfully!
