The Irish Times ePaper Отзывы Пользователей
My Irish Times
First thing, the web. All the latest news, and what might have happened overnight. Ever since I awoke to learn that John Lennon had been shot, I realized that the world does stop when I go to bed.!
I then go to the digital edition, and read the paper as I would in Ireland, but with less page-turning and ink on my fingers…
I love the Property on Thursday……the houses, the hidden gems..!
Saturday is also great with the Magazine and other supplements.
I am an avid affecionado of the Crossward…( Simplex…life is complicated enough…), but I find the times on the leaderboard hilarious! The 1 minute 30 seconds only apply to the speed at which the nominees can type. We didn’t come down in the last shower..!! I have had a good few honest 5/10 minutes results…and can hold my head high…
All in all, I am very happy with the Irish Times, and their coverage of world events is on the ball. If an important event happens in France, it is on the website in no-time. I live in France, and Lara Marlowe is very observant.
So, that’s my review..
Looking forward to a year’s free subscription for my comments…
Sorry, but maybe due to the fact that I live in Lourdes makes me believe in miracles….
Anyway, carry on,
Audrey Kasselis
One of the world’s great papers
OK, a bit of Irish bias creeping in there, but when you consider many of the alternatives the Irish Times stands out as one of the best for the quality of its journalism, its even handed approach to stories, its balance, its willingness to challenge orthodoxies but also to give voice to those who support them, its often fresh and sometimes quirky take on domestic and international stories and a mixture of very serious articles that make you think as well as lovely feel-good stories that touch at the heart strings. Everything you could want in a newspaper. The supplements are of exceptionally high quality as well. Last word for the opinion formers - when you have the likes of Fintan O’Toole, Chris Johns, David McWilliams, Kathy Sheridan, Una Mullally, to name but a few but honorable mention of the many others, you know you are onto a winner.
Slooooooooooow
When it loads, it’s great, however can sometimes take an age to load and that’s on 500Mbps fibre broadband, with just me in the house.
Irish Times
I have a premium subscription.
On my iPad, the e paper will not work quite often. I have to delerte the app, reload the app and start over.

A brilliant Newspaper !
I subscribe to the Irish Times e paper and also when in Ireland I invariably I buy it in my local shop too.
Although as you can see from the heading I am an enthusiastic and generally vhappy reader of the newspaper, frankly I find the ‘new’ format of the Saturday editions less enjoyable.
Arguably the older we are the more set in our ways we become so this may be an age related condition, but whichever I certainly don’t view the change as an improvement…! CjS
You,as an Irish paper.....
I read the I.T daily.
I also read the U.K Guardian paper.
Comparing the 2 papers, the input of the Guardian gives a lot more foreign coverage,in depth.
Also,there is a Journal,plus a ‘Life & Arts’ pull out,every day.
I appreciate that the I.T has an art’s section on. Friday, but only that day.
Nowadays,Irish readers are just as interested in European news,as they are with current affairs at home.
So,some personal opinions but,I’m sure you take my comments as a random opinion,as overall,d’Times is a plausible ‘institution ‘ & a journalistic product that is highly regarded.
Bernard Johnson,Skerries.
Top class journalism at your fingertips
Just like reading the paper but at the ready on your device no matter where in the world you are. Always impressed by the richness of the IT’s content everyday.
Fintan O’Toole
As a long time IT reader, I feel Fintan O’Toole has besmirched the memory of Tony O’Reilly who did so much for Peace in Ireland through the Ireland Fund. Of course, we all have sins and so did he but todays article was unbalanced and petty. Noel Cocoman
Fails to download
I’ve been a subscriber for years but over the last few months I’ve had difficulty downloading the newspaper to such an extent that I’ve had to delete the app and reinstall it at least half a dozen times which means I’ve lost older copies i was retaining. Attempts to contact the paper are futile. Here I am , months later, and the issue is still unresolved. Pathetic. It has gotten worse. I’m now deleting the app and reinstalling it daily. I’ll give this another week then will cancel the subscription
Lack of connectivity
I get frustrated at the frequency with which I have to go back to the App Store to reinstall the IT as it refuses to load. It happens just too often. Can I also say that trying to access me IT online from UK and elsewhere is a disaster.
