The Lutheran Hour®

I get so much encouragement when I read or listen. It is a great way of starting my day . Easy listening at home and on my way to work.

I love the content, but while I was trying to listen to an archive Sermon, it kept stopping every few minutes so I used my web browser instead and didn’t have the problem. Then I tried downloading archive sermons but they only played, they didn’t download.

This is a five star resource that could be improved by having the homilies up to the current day. As it is now it’s days old reading.

I've listened and enjoyed The Lutheran Hour app for some time now, but very disappointed in the latest update. If it crashes, there is no way to begin where it left off! It starts all over again. I finally stopped listening this evening, because three times, I almost got to the end of the sermon, the app crashed, and it started from the beginning again! Also, I can not close the app to do something else, the sermon starts from the beginning again. This is very annoying. There needs to be a control bar, not just start and pause. Please update this app again with these improvements. Thank you.

I've had "The Lutheran Hour" app for quite a while, and really enjoyed it until the last update. First, I noticed that the sermon archives are gone, and then the app kept quitting. Now it won't even open. The update said it was supposed to be a big improvement but so far, it's just been a big disappointment. I hope they fix it soon and bring back the sermon archives, or it will be an app that I will have no choice but to delete from my phone.

The app crashes at launch.

Moved to a new city and haven't gotten myself established to a church yet. Great way to still hear the word of God.

Giving only 4 stars because there are some bugs. The search could be a lot better. The search results list only shows 12 sermons and I get an error that it cannot access device memory when trying to play random selections from the search results. I'm running an iPad 1 with iOS 5.1 so maybe others with newer devices won't have this problem. But I also don't see a way to scroll, swipe or page thru the search results. Are there only the last 12 sermons of a year? Surely not. Regardless of the issues, I am so happy to have this app because I have loved listening to The Lutheran Hour on the radio for years and always wished I could listen daily. And love that the archived sermons go back to 2001, thank you, thank you!! But would like to be able to access more than the last 12 of a year. So I definitely recommend this app to anyone that enjoys The Lutheran Hour program already and if you have not heard this program before, give it a try. It makes a wonderful daily devotion. I have recommended it already to family and friends.

What a wonderful app. I appreciate seeing technology used well and also for a good purpose.
