The Villages® App

Why is there zero information given about activities? It lists the time and place but that’s all. You never know if the music is practice or a performance? What equipment is required for various exercise classes? Do the dance lessons start new or am I trying to join with a class that started weeks ago? It’s infuriating and could easily be remedied if anyone cared.

Unable to sign up or sign in to the app or migrate my details from my laptop. DELETED!

I actually enjoy the app but it refuses to let me sign in. It takes the credentials but then the circle spins and the app locks up. As long as I’m not trying to log in, everything appears to mostly work. Wish they would fix this. I’ve tried rebooting the app, deleting and reinstalling, and rebooting my iPad. It doesn’t work on any of my iDevices so I’m certain it’s a kiss on the developers part.

I use The Villages app often, mostly to search for homes as my wife and I plan to move to TV in April. I’m find this part of the app difficult to navigate and use. Firstly, if I am in the app for more than 15 minutes or so on my iPhone 10S, the app crashes. Probably an issue with caching memory. My other problem with the app is that it’s not as flexible as the website for filtering on properties. My biggest pet peeve refers to searching for homes by square footage. The app provides a drop-down that lets you select minimum square footage as either 0, 1000, 2000 or 3000. This is not at all useful as most people need more precise measures. The drop-down should let you choose in increments if 100 for more precision. Ironically, the website allows you to type in any number you want. The app should give you the same ability to search as the app. There are many other inconsistencies on the filter screen between the app and website as well. And both the app and the website should have many more filters. (Enclosed Lanai, Vinyl Sided vs Block and Stucco, Walk-In Pantry, Number of Walk-In Closets, etc). Another pet peeve relates to price reduction of houses. On the website, you can see if the house price has changed, and by how much. The app doesn’t provide this information. For the most part, I am satisfied with the other parts of the app. I’m focusing on the home search section because as a non-resident it’s the section I use most. I love the square cams, other videos, and the ability to listen live to WVLG. Despite the issues I’ve mentioned, I use the app every day and will continue to use it for years to come.

Couldn’t get signed in, tried over and over

Unfortunately the Villages navigate stopped working for my wife and I thus putting us on a restricted road. How can this happen with the fact so many have reported problems with the Villages app yet the problem continues?

Approximately two weeks ago I updated my iPad to iOS 16.7.4. At that point The Villages app quit working, will not open. When attempting to open the app, it initially looks like it is going to open but all I get is the green screen. Doesn’t anyone keep this app up-to-date?

Omg it is infuriating. It is needed but needs to be upgraded

I am not able to sign into this app. It spins indefinitely even after deleting the app and re-installing it.

The app is unusable. It needs to be fixed or removed from the App Store.
