At The Vinoy Golf Club, a wildlife menagerie joins golfers of all skills and ages on the beautifully manicured, immensely stimulating course that architect Ron Garl designed. The course binds nature, tradition and challenging rounds into one unforgettable Vinoy golf experience.
The Vinoy Golf Club at The Vinoy Renaissance St. Petersburg offers ideal year-round playing conditions — summers soothed by cooling gulf breezes and winters warmed by Florida’s hospitable climate.
The 18-hole, par-71 layout is not your typical Floridian golf course. As a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, we are not only a refuge for wildlife but each hole is surrounded by diverse vegetation including over a dozen varieties of palm from around the world. From the Bismarck palms (Bismarckia nobilis) found in Madagascar to the Giant Fishtail palm (Caryota no) from Indonesia, the flora and fauna are remarkable. These palms total over 900 in number and along with the pines and Live Oaks, you will find yourself lost in the jungle or beached on one of the 63 bunkers strategically place along the way.
Our St. Petersburg golf resort sits in a residential area 1.7 miles from The Vinoy Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Club on beautiful Snell Island. Complimentary shuttle service to and from the club is provided by our resort. An ornate, Mediterranean-inspired clubhouse overlooking the golf course houses a restaurant, bar and fully stocked pro shop.
