The Way Home: Pixel Roguelike

I love the whole concept of the game. It was fun and engaging. But for 8 bucks I wish there was a little bit of depth. Maybe some insane scaling or things like that. Once everything was upgraded, gathering the resources felt a bit pointless. If there were a few buildings that could be upgraded indefinitely, that would be even more fun! Also, please allow building out the center between the islands 😊

I managed to fully freeze my Ipad air 4 by activating the landscape mode settings. You should fix that. I can’t say more about the game

Nice gameplay, quite addictive and very well balanced. I like the story elements and last but not least the very fair price: no nagging, no time consuming adds, just one payment and the fun can continue. Excellent game, it would be great to have more of it :0)

Finished normal mode in five hours. Bit easy (didn’t die a single time, only got super close once!) 7.99 is a tad pricey for what’s on offer here, but ah well. I enjoyed it. I thought the demo and upgrade path were rather tastefully done. Gameplay critique: stuff drops too often, trashing and replacing items gets tedious. I think the game could be better with less drops. That’d be one way to make the teleport mechanic more relevant - you hardly ever have to end a run prematurely! But overall, just a charming game. Wish it were a bit deeper!

I enjoyed the game very much, the pretty art, all the different skills, bosses, buildings and whatever were amazing, if only it was a bit longer and harder. I was able to finish each boss in about two tries, but for a mobile game this was amazing.

I like the gameplay, and brig able to test it for free and purchase the rest of the game makes total sense to me. Thanks for making it!

Ich hab das Spiel in ca 8 Std auf dem Schwierigkeitsgrad Normal durchgespielt und muss sagen es ist wirklich toll. Es gibt eine kleine schöne Geschichte, man kann sich selber im Dungeon Leveln was toll ist und die Musik ist auch schön. Natürlich muss man sich ein wenig Werbung anschauen aber diese Geduld sollte man in Kauf nehmen für so ein tolles kleines Spiel. Ich würde das Spiel wirklich empfehlen. :)

This is probably the best mobile game out there. It’s so good, it almost feels bad to say mobile game. It has a very charming art style and interesting and sometimes even really fun dialogue and storytelling. It has a very balanced difficulty curve and basically a free trial for the first world. Fun game, cute graphics, surprisingly fun. 5 Stars, would recommend.
