The Word One to One

My son and I have been going through this together. It’s amazing how engaged he is and how it sparks great questions from him and to him to talk about faith together. The new tablet design is delightful for side by side reading together.

Great app. Reading with one of My Elders & now I’m reading it with my eldest Son (13). The Notes are a great help. Enjoy. Glory to the Lord our Saviour God.

I was introduced to this App by my church minister with the intention of sending it to my son to help him start reading and understanding the Bible. I sent the App to my son but I also started using it myself, thinking that it will help me support my son if he has any questions. I am a Christian and I do read the Bible but unless it was when I was in a Bible Study Group, my reading of the Bible was a bit unstructured. Once I started reading through The Word One to One, I realised how much I didn’t know and understand about God’s Word! It has been such a joy to read through the Books of the Bible and really have everything explained so well. I have a routine now of getting up early in the morning, pouring myself a coffee and sitting quietly and in peace where I will not be disturbed and read God’s Word from this wonderful App. It has become the most important part of my day that I always look forward to. As a Christian I believe I have grown, learnt and understood so much that I was missing before. For anyone who is beginning to explore God’s Word or is already a Christian I would highly recommend this App.

Insightful and enlightening in a new and different way….

1 Peter 3: 15, says “always be prepared to give an answer for the hope that you have…” this app is the perfect tool have on you ‘always’ so that you can share the good news whatever situation you find yourself in. Thanks for making it.

I’d love to use this with a friend, especially after a great review in church this morning. But the content is not accessible to me. I need a dark background and large type. The contrast is low, especially of the Bible itself, and text is small. I will find it hard to use this one to one except with great discomfort. The books and PDFs are if anything even harder for me. Is there anything you can do with theming and font size options in the app? (I’d be willing to test-fly). Many thanks.

Really enjoy using this app in discipleship conversations and personal evangelism. The app makes the Word easy and accessible for those with questions about Jesus and the gospel. Can’t recommend enough!
