Limestone forms the beautiful scenery of the Yorkshire Dales, and it is an important raw material for industry. Now that quarrying has finished at Threshfield, use the app to guide you round the huge site and compare working scenes from the past with the quarry's new life.

- 10 points of interest to discover along public footpaths and a heritage trail around Threshfield Quarry
- Fade old photographs into your camera view and see a working quarry - capture and share your cross-fade images!
- Have a blast - visit locations to activate images of quarrying equipment, then see how the rock was blasted
- First-hand information from former quarrymen and local residents brings the past to life
- The app makes use of GPS to show you places of interest close to your current location
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
