TimeTag - Track Your Time

Tested the app for few days. After some time I wanted to combine several created and tracked tags into one, but I couldn't intuitively find this feature. So I had to delete those tags, and lots of tracked time was just black in the report, with no tag/category name. Also, could't figure out how to archive the unneeded tags (I don't mean the timer/tag screen). If there's a way to combine and archive created tags, then better instruction is needed! The other thing I don't really like, is that the report, when showing few days data, doesn't visually separate days in Grouped Tag/Category Data, as it does with Daily Data TimeTag Records (I'm taking about free version). Other than that the app is simple and works great! Suggestion for new functions: 1) iOS 12 has inbuilt feature Screen Time. If there's a way to somehow send this data into Time Tag app, would be so time saving! Or make your own screen time monitoring feature, with manual adjustment of the apps that user wants to track on his phone, and manualy categorising them. 2) implement Siri to set timer.

I’ve been using this app for a few years to track my freelance work. Never had a problem. IOS 13.1 caused a problem. I emailed support and received a reply in minutes! A workaround came soon after and I’m up and running while they fix the nasty bug. I’m impressed with the response and while I always liked the app, I am now confident it’s well supported. That’s important in a business app. BTW. If your app is crashing out in iOS 13.1: go to the Pro tab and disable sound.

This is the most wonderful app I've ever seen in the app store, I mean, in the category of time tracking. Clean and material design. No fuss. No mess. Most precise tracking of time spent in every possible way. I can keep time of everything now. To find this wonderful gem I had to go through some 31 apps. I found, selected, downloaded, installed, and tried all of them, and I had to uninstall them all because they were not fit to my requirements this way or that way. At last I found this TimeTag. The days are gone. I've beenI experimenting with it to see what I can and can't do with it. Until now my critical ability feels challenged. I must find out something important that this app fails to accomplish in it's category. Interestingly I consulted all the "most critical" reviews of this app to see what it can't do. All those reviews are years old. And all their complaints are already overcome in the present current version of the app. Well, unfortunately I'm not a paid user. I don't have the capacity to buy it. But fortunately I can do ALL the basic timing I need with it. And I can take backup in CSV format, a file that I can afterwords import to this app which is needed if I somehow reinstall it on the same device or on some other device. Thanks to the developers. Feel so grateful to them.

Otherwise best in it's class. Without a pause button one can't log a full working day with a lunch hour on the same timer.

Navigation is stupid and hard to use

Went through probably 10 different apps before this one and stopped looking after finding this. It does everything you need for tracking time and organizing clients and projects as well as exporting reports to keep on top of everything.

This app was suggested to me by a friend, and I have found it very useful in answering that age-old question: where does the time go? With easy-to-use categories you create yourself, this app makes it possible to track hours for business clients or minutes of exercise or progress toward personal goals. You have your phone with you anyway, and all you need to do is select category, press start, and let this app run in background until you press stop when you are finished. That's it. They also have great customer service, as I recently discovered when submitting a question online about how to create custom filters and totals. It's a small investment with great dividends!

As a graphic artist and book designer with multiple projects in process simultaneously, Time Tag is essential for my work. I can clock precisely not just the overall project, but the stages within it, such as photoshopping, design, formatting, and so on. And if you ever need tech support, it is prompt and courteous.

I use this application every day. Intuitive, easy to set up for my specific purpose of using my projects name as a tag. I can very easily send my TIME TAGS to any customer who inquires on time spent on projects in minutes by email while we're talking. Color grouping identifies the type of customer; residential or commercial and my own business tasks, such as research or book keeping...I can easily identify how much down time I've spent filling government reports. I've determined after seeing the first years numbers that my accountant would be be handling this! I am not even looking for something else. The application is perfect.

Described by the developer as "the timesheet re-imagined"… unfortunately the reconceptualization is pretty, but doesn't even cover the basics. There's no ability to group time by project / client, no way to retag entries once complete, no ability to generate invoices or invoicing information, or even flag entries as having been billed. This is a toy, not a useful tool for someone trying to track their time across multiple billable (or even unbillable) projects.
