The app requires full access to all of our thousands of personal photos for us to be able to download the photos posted by our teacher. This is a huge privacy concern, should be a quick and simple fix, and it appears the developer has been promising this quick fix for a year now. They recently emailed me that the full access requirement would be removed on Oct 22, but that day came and went with no change. Then they stopped responding to me. Sounds like the same empty promises over and over again, so very concerned about what they are doing with people’s photos. I will be requesting we re-evaluate our school’s use of this app for this single reason.

Why do I have to share pictures of my entire contents of my phone in order to save a photo of my child on the app?

The idea is good, but the app is very flawed. For example, since a couple of weeks I am not able to watch or download any of the videos that are posted about my son’s class. And it is really hard that simple functions -like selecting and copying bits of text- are not available… having to retype all the relevant information that is sent by the teachers is really cumbersome.

2 epochs of iOS updates and this app still just freezes whenever I open it. Total time of usage is around 3 times in 45 days it has not completely frozen upon launching the app. From iOS 17.6.1, 17.7, and now 18.0 all production installs this app just will NOT function. When it works, it’s ok

I can see from reviews that this was an issue that the developer said they were addressing nearly a year ago. It’s still not fixed. While I appreciate the developers response that they don’t misuse photo access, their word is not enough. This should be a quick and easy fix in swift. Please get it done.

The iOS app is severely limited to the point where you question if it’s still even actively being worked on. How do I view evaluations in app? The workaround is to view on web and to turn the phone to landscape. This seems like basic functionality and based on the iOS app’s update cadence, I’m not holding my breath the app will ever have feature parity to the web app.
