Tomb Raider Reloaded NETFLIX

I love the game, but since I finished the last Chapter (10), it’s a bit stuck… Also there’s no more free coins at the store…🫠 Besides that, it’s great! ✨

Game freezes quite often and it’s really annoying and sometimes you end up losing your progress on the chapter run

There seems to be no quality control both in Apple, Netflix or the development company behind this game, because if you have to quit the app - even if it stays open in the background - when you come back to it, most of the time it does NOT take you back to where you where in a level. Now, there are levels that have 50 stages! Either you spend two hours playing in one go or you’ll lose the progress every time you have to do something else in between. Yes, it’s completely absurd! And on top of that the Netflix version doesn’t allow you to play offline (the “freemium” version actually allows you to, to an extent - which makes the Netflix version even more bizarre). Also the game was clearly made to support the absurd and extremely predatory typical microtransactions of these types of “free” games - the Netflix version essentially just gives you a daily amount of coins (free currency) and some diamonds (premium currency). Meaning that on the Netflix version - although you get the diamonds for free - you need to wait and come back to the game daily to get them at the pace THEY have decided. On the “free” version you can watch ads (or pay real money..) to at least speed up getting the premium currency and progress in the game (and the “freemium” version at least also saves your progress and allows you to go back to the stage you were in if you have to quit the game for some reason). Netflix keeps pulling in these “freemium” games into their gaming services but doesn’t seem to understand that they need to be adapted properly to a subscription model - not just give some premium currency daily, drop by drop, which just gives an even worse experience to their clients when compared to the freemium version.

Ahh! Wonderful, a game that nearly looks like it aspired to something good, but rather ended up a micro-transaction bid wearing bits and pieces from other, much better games. I guess the formula was: take a somewhat popular IP (on a discount), create a game with glaring design flaws, but just presentable enough visually to grant the appearance of effort, and design it to be tailored towards slowly chiding people to spend money. Unfortunately, when you have a base game like this, sans actual micro-transactions (omitted for the “Netflix” version of the original game), it becomes something worse…somehow.

The developer should do away with the annoying IAP remnants. Also I got bugs.

The Netflix version gets rid of all the free to play paywalls and money tactics while letting you earn in game and play everything with your subscription. Netflix is killing it in the mobile department! Consoles next? 🫡🌟

The game itself is really fun. It is a bit grindy but that’s not a big deal. However, a word of caution to anyone that is playing using their Netflix account. I had mine synced to a secondary account on our Netflix account and on a lark thought “I don’t need this profile on the Netflix app because we only watch on the main one” so I deleted it. I didn’t realize the magnitude of my mistake until I opened the Tomb Raider app to play and it said there was a network error. It was then I realized what I’d done. The most unfortunate thing about it is that I inadvertently deleted my game data that I had work over a year on achieving and now I’m having to start back over from square one. DO NOT DO WHAT I DID. You’ll never recover. I’m extremely annoyed that Netflix doesn’t have any backups or logins or anything else that could mitigate this type of error for its players.

Fantastic and fast paced. Very simple upgrade system. Just flat out awesome!
