It looks like a try to earn money. Couple new effects comparing tonestack. You should add possibility to transfer purchases from regular tonestack.
too good

3 stars just because if I want just some units it only gives me one option and that is to buy them all and honestly i don’t want all of them and forking out just for space echo 50+ pounds is not going to happen:(
This feels a bit like an unfinished product, rushed out after 3-4 years! Endless problems with some patches not working although they are exactly the same in another set. Tapedeck constantly distorts and plays twice as fast after altering a patch. No response from developers. Have gone back to my old analog setup. Shame as it showed such promise, but as it stands for me it’s unusable.
I record all types of music styles on iOS. Bought so many apps. This is a gem. I got the basic version, thinking I’d stick with that but as soon as I got going, I bought the full kit. It’s, so intuitive, beautiful to work with and the sounds are pro. The acoustic simulators are particularly great. My guitar sample instruments just shine now. My mixes come to life and not just guitars!
Let’s start by saying this Dev has taken a look at the other ‘all-in-one’ offerings, and seems to have put an awful lot of effort and talent into surpassing those. No flannel, this is hard to criticise. After spending half a day manipulating and sliding processor boxes into a different order, slotting-in two delays in a row, and then realising there’s an entire bank of preset ‘arrays’ or line-ups of ready-made setups, it’s reminiscent of their Magellan 2 synth. This is not a bad thing. But there is absolutely no need to get too complicated. Just hit on the ‘Units’ heading and then tap your way into one of a dozen or so groupings of effect types (always gives me pause!), and you can grab from a quite broad spread of distortion boxes under one heading, then maybe a tremelo from another, a delay/echo from yet another…it just goes on, in a really good way. You slide right-to-left or vice versa, on the top ‘string’ of instruments, to change the order of the FX boxes. You double-tap in the lower section, where the bigger pics are, to see the icons close-up, very thoughtful for smaller devices. You double-tap on the small top row of icons, on a particular FX unit, to have that one slide into view, in the larger view below. It’s easier than I make it sound. Now, there’s one all-in-one FX app that despite being really good, did not have this right-to-left changing of the order of the FX, when it first came out. Yonac have put massive effort into this system, but also thought carefully about different device sizes and leveraged their prior efforts and versions to achieve that little bit above and beyond with this. I sound a bit enthusiastic, but I did not expect it to be this good, I mean I couldn’t count on it with the variable nature of apps being what they are. I should confess, I am looking over my iPad Pro 2 right now, at my Squier Strat, and yet I haven’t even got it plugged in yet - my entire experience is based on jamming around with some well-known synths in iOS and a 37-key keyboard (ok MIDI controller if you must). Surely, if you examine this top-to-bottom and wall-to-wall, you can find some less-good aspects? That’s a really pedantic thing to do though, and terribly negative, and best left to those without a soul. I pulled in a few different FX units from the ‘Units’ menu, tried a few of the preset, or pre-arranged strings of FX boxes, and stuff like that. I used my iPad Pro 2 12.9 inch, and stuck it through my (checking the name under th
I already own the original ToneStack, plus all expansion packs, and have been following the journey of the dev working hard to make a version that supports AUV3. I can understand people’s reservations about paying for everything again, when they’ve already bought the previous version of Tonestack, plus expansions, but when you consider the amount of work that’s had to go into making this new version, the cost is completely justified. It was an easy decision for me. I’ve used Tonestack live for years, and it’s never let me down. Rock solid. Versatile. Deep customisation. Sounds beautiful. Great support from the developer. What more can you ask for? Support great devs like Jesse, who consistently work hard to bring great quality, plus great customer service. Now, I’m off to play with the new version some more 😎
A blast from the past, now updated and with added AU3 appeal. The basic app is a steal at the into price, and the ‘Pot O’ Gold’ all in IAP is great value. Not just for guitars, either, this sounds good when applied creatively to other instruments. The app seems stable and works well under AUM and Auria Pro. No complaints, but would appreciate more presets and added preset variety for those of us who are not guitar virtuosos. RTM
