Was sold one of these meters on the basis that they told I could check the balance in the app, I have mobility issue and they installed my meter 10 feet up a wall, no way to check my balance on the app, now have to call them twice a week to know how much credit I have. Would never have agreed if I knew the system was this bad.
Just switch providers.
If a first year computer science student turned this app in for a project, they’d fail. Switching to Energia or PrePayPower is probably easier than topping up by €75 - partly because you can’t top up by €75, it has to be either €10, €20, €30, €40, €50, or €100. Plus the app stole €20 from me last time I tried to top up. Possibly worst of all is an app for iPhone in this day and age doesn’t support Apple Pay nor does it support autofill for your card details. Electric Ireland, I will be in touch. Again.
The meter
Why are we still fiddling about putting in long codes to get our meters toppled up. Why can’t you top up online ?
Balance not available
While top up is easy, it does not show your balance. And if you text EI Balance as suggested it comes back - The System is not operational at present. For further assistance, please contact 0818 882 600… almost would consider changing to another company my friend uses - but the hassle..!!
Pay as you go
Would be really great if there was a top up app for the gas, could top up on the phone rather then going outside in the cold weather to top up, this is so badly needed.
B
Would be nice to see balance in app rather than having to go outside to check amounts
Useless App
App is good for nothing except paying electric Ireland there exorbitant prices
Useless
Nothing to do on app
Luke warm
The app itself is easy enough to use for top ups. It would be a massive improvement to see the remaining balance on the account. As neat as the top up history is, I can check this in my banking app. The meter is clumsy and difficult to navigate, I find, so it would be really neat to see the balance in the app.
Pathetic and pointless
Customer with these gangster for over a year. €45pw to power a 3mx3m apartment with no tv and I’m hardly there because of work. App hasn’t worked for 8 months now I contacted them then and they said the issue is being resolved. Tested it every week until today and still not working. So I ring to do a top up over the phone today and they say I can’t top it up over the phone. Absolutely pathetic and this is basically esb a state owned provider!!!! Gangsters! Buy land and because self sufficient people!
