TopDecked MTG

This app does exactly what it advertises. Even the free plan (10 decks and limited analysis) is quite good for me, an amateur player. It has a very intuitive UI, and rarely glitches. There is a tiny learning curve (I finished it in 5 mins), but it’s very simple. I don’t quite understand the metagame section’s pricing. It says a deck is $30, but on all of the linked websites it’s $60+. Please fix this. Also, added support for other companies (ie 401games.ca) in the buy/sell feature would be appreciated, but I understand the sponsor system, etc. Just to consider. Finally, I would love the inclusion of a tutorial on the different game modes (ie Standard, Modern, Historic, etc). I barely understand the difference except that half my cards aren’t legal in half of the modes. Fixing these will bump you to 7 stars. Just 2 and you get 5. Thanks a lot for this tool. Keep making great stuff Lincoln, the guy who makes this app! 😂

I exclusively buy precon commander decks. If there was support to add a precon deck by looking it up and having the app auto-create the 100-card deck, I’d bump this up to 4 stars. I’d bump to 5 if the life counter also briefly showed how many times you hit the button to increment or decrement life, so you don’t have to do the math in your head (there is a “history” log, but it requires two extra taps to get to it - which doesn’t sound like much, but 2 extra clicks per player per turn per 3-hour game adds up!)

TopDecked has been amazing for me. It has drastically improved how I play mtg, how I collect, and how I price my cards. It has greatly improved my mtg experience over the past year, and has made keeping track of my growing collection easy and smooth. Cannot recommend this app enough for any new or old player. Buying a paid plan is well worth it, cannot recommend enough.

Also no advertisements anywhere ever. Not only is this the best deck building app I’ve ever used there’s essentially a way to text the creators in app and they help with any and all issues. The longest I’ve had to wait for a response so far was a day but then it was a back and forth for a while just talking about the app and little tweaks and suggestions I would like to see. And then he made the ones he could during our conversation happen. Seriously use this app it’s amazing with an even better staff behind it.

Bought a subscription after 10 minutes of exploring the app. Haven’t regretted it. Has many different subscription options and they are all reasonable. Great value. Added- After 2 years of subscription, the team has done a major overhaul and made the best app better. I don’t typically write reviews, but this app warrants it. The commitment and added features the team puts in is top rate. Has everything you want as a magic player.

App fails to sync with the site *very often*, which always results in the latest version of decklists getting lost and replaced by previous ones. Cards also often disappear from decklists, even though they remain linked to the deck: while they can’t be removed from the deck because they’re not visible there, they appear on list exports and can trigger errors (in commander decks, for example, when multiple copies have been added because the card seemed to be missing)... Would be a 5 if this frustration were to be fixed.

Everyone who plays mtg and owns an apple device should know about this.

I can tell that developers put a tons of work into this but iPhone X was released a year ago and still no support of safe area insets upswts me :( and also, no GRN cards in the database (release is this weekend and I’d like to try simulating deck with new cards)

Since I downloaded this app, my deck building as improved a lot! The only drawback was that I couldn't pay the monthly premium with the app store, and the developers changed it so now we can. 5 stars for the best deck builder on the app store, keep up the amazing work
