Love the app but has flaws
I love the app since I can easily check the status of my portfolio, how much I’ve gained or lost for each stock. It calculates the fees automatically so the G/L you’re seeing should be net of associated fees involved in buying and selling the stock at the current price. However, G/L calculations for a stock that you have previously sold but bought back into again are highly inaccurate. For example, if I previously sold a stock at a higher price bringing my total holdings down to zero and bought it again at a lower price, it would immediately reflect a significant unrealized loss that cannot be explained by the transaction fees + taxes alone. Further, there are times where my portfolio would experience significant drops in value. I notice this when certain stocks do not move for the first several minutes to hours in the trading day. When that happens, the app will mistakenly compute its value to be zero. This causes a false decrease in the value of my portfolio by an amount equivalent to the current market value of this stock. Lastly, there are times when the app has significant delays in updating market rates. Like right now. I’m still getting the rates from more than an hour ago. Overall I like the app but this last issue with the app having significantly delayed stock price updates is causing undue stress and has driven me to write this review. The first two issues I can live with but hopefully you can fix the latter ASAP.
