Keeps the old brain from going stale.
This is by far the best trivia game app that I have found. The questions are challenging and span multiple categories without becoming stale. The only reason I give this a 4/5 is because I wish I had the opportunity to read the correct answers after I’ve incorrectly answered questions!! Would love if that was added :)
Sometimes some words flash, but mpst pf the time, I don't see the right answer. Hpw can I learn?
Peak gameplay. Better than Call of Duty.
The excessive use of long form commercials for stupid games ruins what could have been a decent trivia game.
The quality of the trivia isn’t bad but isn’t great. Question wording is shorter than the average Jeopardy! answer, and this leads to some ambiguity and some questions which are a bit complex to read. I’ve seen questions with multiple answers that were technically correct as worded. Difficulty level is random. Dirty Harry’s last name is as easy as knowing streaks in specific LPGA tournaments. The questions usually are questions you could know or puzzle out. I haven’t seen any “according to a survey” or “according to an article” style questions where the answer is something you can’t know, bur I have seen some questionable “most common” type questions with softer answers. I don’t like the timer implementation. There’s a reason why Jeopardy! doesn’t turn on the buttons until the question is read. The questions also feel particularly shallow because there’s no info about why you were right or wrong. The up and down level gives you something to think about, but it also means to get a higher score you need to start at max level (I think) No (truly) custom UI for iPad. Ads are small, except interstitials which usually can go away quick enough. It’s free. It’s fine.
I’d be more inclined to use this app but for some reason every 4 questions, the same dumb ad pops up with some dude who looks like he’s FaceTiming me talking about some product. I got so tired of seeing his face up close I deleted the app.
Questions I had gotten incorrect in one game, immediately come up again in the following game, which is really the best way to learn, vis-a-vis rote, but it wasn’t always this way. Years ago, and now still too, wrong answers went into the “learn more” link, and I’m paraphrasing there. But now, the incorrect answers pop right back up within minutes. That’s different. No worries though, I just won’t need to exit the game and drill myself in each section where I missed questions and drill until there are 0 left, in say, “Technology.” Just an FYI. Your Quiz is the hardest I know of and my highest score is 8/10. I’m 71. #notrump San Diego
This app is very clean for everybody to be able to pick up and be able to use, but 2-3 questions then an ad is freaking ridiculous. I’d say It would be worth the money if it was a buy to own situation but paying a subscription weekly monthly or even yearly is crazy! The amount of questions are great and I’ve yet to see a duplicate questions but you can’t advertise a free game and run ads after every question
