TurboTenant for Renters

Utterly useless. Forces to update when I open app… and post-update, I get a blank dashboard screen and the payment screen showed I didn’t owe anything (which wasn’t true, and kinda a huge deal…). Kinda the whole reason to have an app instead of just going to the website in a browser….is to pay rent, right? So why do I have this app? QA team and the dev that wrote the update should probably go through additional training. Quality of updates is lacking.

Doesn’t work with my bank! My bank is very popular but the bank, landlord and I couldn’t get this to work!

This is by far the worst app that I am forced to use on my iPhone, due to it being required by my landlord to communicate and pay rent. For anyone that has used the app it is quite obvious that something is up with the 4.9 star rating. My experience started with logging in. They simply don’t offer the same login options as they do on their website, so google SSO is not available for those who signed up on the webpage. Furthermore the app is riddled with bugs. It constantly crashes and forces you to restart. Also very adware-like in the way it constantly pushes certain “features” like renters insurance and credit reporting. Overall this app is highly frustrating, and TurboTenant is a slimy service to begin with. I will be communicating with apple about the fake reviews, but be wary of the 4.9 stars. Those are not real.

This app is still wonky. The selection for making a payment isn’t always available and the maintenance request page seems to never go through. I went back to the browser.

This app with my current rental has been great, awesome communication between me and the landlord with the maintenance requests and messaging. And I love being able to pay through the portal and keep track of my documents and receipts!

Every single time I open this app it tells me there’s been a new update and it’s so annoying, how many updates could you possibly need for such a simple app. Never lets you say update later either, you HAVE to update it to use it. Half the time it doesn’t even update it and you sit there waiting for no reason

App keeps crashing when trying to go to messages. Is there a fix?

Great app, but the most recent update has a bug where when you click on the messages it bring you out of the program and you can no longer view your messages
