TVNZ+

Well I know the company is going through some issues but look how far you guys have come in terms of the conversations that you could be having or are having in the board room or about culture or about the way that revenue models for news gathering should take place. Add to that you have a great application with a solid streaming service.

The app continuously glitches on my smart TV. The same happens on the website while watching on my laptop. TVNZ’s productions are also pretty terrible. 1news is classic American propaganda. Q&A’s Jack Tame is completely inept. What a waste of taxpayer money. Shame.

I have been using this app for a while now ever since it was branded as TVNZ on demand and up until the past couple of years I have not experienced such poor streaming quality. Constant errors saying internet connection is the issue but that can’t be the case considering this is the only streaming platform that has displayed messages. Not to mention we have an Ethernet cable plugged directly into our TV. For a broadcasting company the technical capability of this app is horrendous and needs to be rectified. We are now in 2024 and still can’t sort these issues.

Way too many ads! Trying to watch a show or movie and getting interrupted every 5 minutes or so. Ads last 2 minutes as well So hard to try watch your fav shows. If there was an option to pay for no ads I would ! This needs to be sorted

A simple fast forward or rewind results in 45 seconds of ads.

Was rubbish to start with, then improved for a while now wont play anything whatsoever on my iPad 9. Have uninstalled and reinstalled and still just a black screen. Wont play on my chromecast for more than a minute or two before getting an error saying "something went wrong". I have a good Starlink connection which I share with no one, everything else plays just fine. (Three now, netflix, neon, prime, disney, youtube etc) This has been literally 7 or 8 years now and the app is still a faulty, bug filled mess. I work in software development. IT DOES NOT TAKE THIS LONG TO MAKE IT WORK PROPERLY! Fire your dev team, or replace whatever hot mess of a streaming product you are wasting the countries time with, because it doesn't work, and after this many years of failures, and thousands of reviews like mine that much should be abundantly clear to even the dullest village idiot.... Stop flogging this dead horse and get a new horse or a new jockey!!!

Crashes every time we use it. Painfully slow to load and I’m sure it’s getting worse not better. Have changed TVs recently too same result.

I found a series I really enjoy but the constant advertisements almost put me off watching it.

Random crashes after playing ads, sometimes leading you to close the app and start all over again, and then sit through more mandatory ads. Attempted to start the same show 5 times today, and each time it crashed before even getting past the opening credits. TVNZ and whomever the App developers are need to address this if they want NZ viewers using this platform and not just look elsewhere.

Frequently displays a blank screen with sound... Have to exit to the episode playing, re-select again to run and show the screen display! Occasionally, will display that there's no internet connection message (when there definitely is) - re-enter what we were playing and no internet connection message shows, viewing returns to normal. PLEASE fix this buggy app. Note: TV3 on demand, Netflix or Prime doesn't have these issues, only the TVNZ on demand does!
