Not user friendly
Type S Dashcam was purchased at Costco’s for $100. This is the most complicated and user unfriendly device I’ve ever owned. It’s very difficult to connect to WiFi and cell phone. Total waste of money
Won’t Even Connect To the App WiFi
I’m at the first step, connect to WiFi. And the password given doesn’t work: the message I receive every time I try to connect is “Unable to Join.” The password is simple, I’m not typing it in wrong, yet I still can’t join. The app is rendered useless if I can’t even accomplish step 1. If I could, I’d rate it 0 stars.
Wifi Issues
Camera no longer connects to my iPhone. It could be an issue with a phone update. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled and it still does not connect. Troubleshooting is useless on the webpage. It’s a shame. This is a great camera and it has gotten me out of two jams. The video quality at 4k is fantastic. But if I can’t connect it to my phone, it’s time for a another brand of camera.
Does work on iPhone 11
When I try to preview the camera on app, it’s just a black screen. Nothing I do seems to work.

Brand new backup camera looses connection or won't connect with app. Don't waste your money on the camera.
This app is useless, making the dashcam unusable
Every time I have tried to retrieve videos from my dash cam it takes over 20 minutes of errors and connection problems before I am finally able to download a single video. This is the worst dashcam software I’ve ever seen
Stopped working
Stopped working after a few months. Please fix this app. It doesn’t seem to be working for anyone.
TYPE S S401 Ultra HD 4K Dashcam from Costco
No clue about negative reveiws but this dashcam saved us the day. It perfectly recorded the car accident my wife got involved into last week. So, the insurance company after veiwing the footage stated zero fault on our side.
