- Do you find yourself e-mailing documents to people over and over again, every time you update them?

So you know how people who aren't on Facebook don't get what the deal is, and you have a hard time explaining it to them? You eventually find yourself saying, "You just have to try it." TypeLink is sort of like that.
Unless you're already familiar with personal wikis, organizing your personal notes with links can be a bit confusing. I had to see how someone else did it first and then experiment a little to figure out what worked best for me. For example, my husband's home page is a long alphabetized list of categories whereas mine is much shorter & segmented into different arenas of my life (our home, our community, my activities, my health, etc). Essentially, you get to structure and organize your notes however you want–however your brain works.
One of TypeLink's biggest strengths is its simplicity. At first, it can be frustrating that you start with a blank page and that no structure is provided, but again, this is what allows you to make your information accessible in ways that are most intuitive to you. If you think that your recipes page should be under health, put it there. If you think it should be under family, put it there. If you think it should be under both... Put it both places!
Another way to think about it: instead of having notes written on random pieces of paper, various word documents on different computers, and to do lists across different devices or planners – you can put it all in one place and have it all available wherever you have Internet access.
This is an incredibly useful app, and I highly recommend giving it a try!
Update 2014:
After using this app for 3 years, I'm honestly not sure how I functioned without it. Any information I want to access later I write in TypeLink: journaling, recipes, health info, vacation planning, house hunting, brainstorming, gift ideas. I could go on forever. Love, love, love this app!
Very cool app
This app is really cool. It uses the power of cloud computing with the practicality of wiki to produce a really easy to use note taking experience. This will def replace my current solution. Looking forward to updates.
Great App!!
This app is great for so many things! Great work!

Its ok but i think Its needs a tool/text box to bold or italisize. Also the white backgrounds pretty boring
Just what I needed
This straightforward app is just what I needed to consolidate my many scattered to-do lists (iPhone, two PC's, emails to myself, backs of credit card receipts, etc). It has a reassuring feel indicating a careful developer. I appreciate the Export/Import functions available from the web List page.
Very interesting and potentially useful approach
Automatic hyperlinks—a great idea, if you want to adopt this style of note-taking. My only suggestion would be to add a search function. When you need to write a paper, you somehow have to extract information from this web of links and put it in some kind of linear organization, which could well turn out to be different from the original top-level outline you create for that subject in TypeLink.
It just works! Try this app.
I didn't really understand how this app worked until I tried it out. Following the video for the setup, I created a "me" page to house my contact info. I attached this to my auto signature for my outgoing email. This was dandy! Lots of information is available if the recipient wants it. OK. So this worked fine. Then, I created a list of things I wanted from a warehouse club and sent the link to my husband by text message. My husband can receive a text, but doesn't know anything about email or the web. This was so simple. All he had to do was touch the link on his iPhone. Voila! It brought up the list. Perfect.
After giving the app a try, I can see all sorts of uses for it. It offers the option of making contents of a page "Public" or not public. The instruction videos are very helpful.
Hooray
This seems to work well, I am going to use it for note taking at school! Since the pages are stored on the cloud, I can easily access my notes on my laptop without emailing myself stuff.
Finally, a usable cloud wiki app!
So many other notetaking apps have gotten some of the pieces in place (Simplenote, Trunk, Appigo, built-in Notes) but this is the first app I've seen to provide all three of the following:
- Seamless plain text note sync with other iOS devices via cloud
- Wiki-like connections between notes
- Web browser editing of entries
Seamless meaning I don't have to press "sync" every time I want others to see my edits. Simplenote does this, but no wiki functionality, and I'm tired of waiting.
Free, universal app! Still some rough edges and room for UI improvement and new features, but a committed developer who immediately responded to my feedback.
