Typewise Custom Keyboard

This is the app for those who use the single finger pecking method. Before Typewise I would hit 3 incorrect keys each time I tried to get one correct. The extra landing size and shape makes for an easier and frustration free experience. Also an absolute joy is the ease with which any mistakes can be undone by swiping right. I have been using Typewise for over four years and can whole heartily highly recommend it!!!

Nice idea but the built in autocomplete/autocorrect is complete garbage, which makes the keyboard unusable. Which is completely unacceptable given that a simple ai autocomplete can be simply plugged in as a GitHub library. What a waste

This app would be great if there was an option to add a number row to the first letter row. The fact that I have to tap another key to get to numbers is annoying and cumbersome. I'd love to long-press q for 1, w for 2, and so on.

I love this keyboard, and while I do prefer the hexagonal design to others I’ve used before, there are features the standard IOS keyboard has which Typewise doesn’t, and forced me to switch back. Specifically two: Swipe Typing, and one-handed typing. Swipe Typing is fast, easy, and a feature I use almost constantly. It’s a shame Typewise didn’t have it. Swiping enhances the keyboard’s efficacy by a lot, at least in my experience. Also, the one-handed keyboard is useful for when you have to multitask, or you only have one hand available to type, which wasn’t available with Typewise. Which sucks, because I was just getting used to its design, and it actually does make typing faster if you tap normally. But swiping is more time-saving, and because of my ADHD, I’m always using my other hand for something. • —— • Also — though more a personal wish than an actual issue — it would help if there was a spare section, or option to create a keyboard with specifically chosen characters, or such to individualize the user’s needs. I wanted to replace the period with another symbol (&) since double-tapping already automatically ends a sentence, and I barely used the period key. Some symbols I regularly use required more tapping and scrolling, and consequently took more time compared to the standard keyboard. I also really wanted kaomojis — buuut this is less important, plus it would kill the focused, minimalist design that defines Typewise. That is, after all, what drew me to the app. If we could design our own keyboard, or have a separate section we can put in our own essential characters, it would be a huge improvement! I would switch back to Typewise in an instant if these features were available!

I preferred typewise over the native keyboard up until the last update, which makes it a more tedious process to include numbers and other notation in a text. For example, a dollar sign or a semi-colon are more than 2-3 taps away now.

Looks like a cool idea but app won't open. Just sits on white splash screen.

Latest update took away the numeric hex keys on iPad and portrait mode.

Long time SwiftKey user, I have picked this keyboard because of the big keys. It is indeed a long learning curve. I have mostly kept with it for the last 8-10 months but at times I would throw it out. Main frustration relates to use of 2 languages. I must write about 50-50 in french and english. The auto-detection is not very good. And the worst is the french auto-correct. It arbitrarily changes a valid word with another one!! The app is supposed to learn from your acceptation/rejection of auto-corrections but frankly I do not see it (which works super well in Swiftness). I could write a word 10 times a day and it would still auto-correct it with another word. Also there seems to be a bug when using with Chrome on my iPhone. The first letter I type in the nav bar is always duplicated (???). Lastly, one very odd thing with the latest version, the character " disappeared!! This is super bad and if not corrected I will have to abandon it.

Since the latest update it just destroys battery life. What is it even doing?
