Only for Ultimaker Printer with Wifi

The App is only for Ultimaker Printer with wifi. It is not possible to connect with a qidi wifi Printer.

Lässt sich nicht auf dem iPad nutzen

Das Programm sucht nach dem Start gleich im Netzwerk den Drucker und findet keinen...naja, der Drucker (creality ender) hat kein wlan.

Good start, but missing further development.

Tha fact that this App does only work as long as you are in the same Network as your printers gets critizised a lot, and that‘s one of the many flaws, because its really difficult to understand that at least the status of the printers can not be doisplayed switching to the Ultimaker-cloud-connection. But there is much more that is missing and needs improvement, urgently: For example the time to finish the current print job is not shown in the App (like an estimated time of finishing the print or some kind of layer count like finished over todo-layers). Not even when you are in the same network. Only some of the errors the printer can run into and that can prevent a job from starting (e.g.) are displayed within the app, many are not (). Also the maintenance status of the printer, which is available in the browser view (in Cura Connect) of the printer itself is not available in the app. Which is sad, because these Services are great! (Event Log, Temperature Graph, Cura Connect).

Only WiFi?

Now a camera inside the Ultimaker printer to monitor the prints is awesome. To be able to check the status or even spot errors while printing on your iphone or ipad even more. At least it would - if that was the case. You download this app only because you can check on your printer when you are not near. But since it is limited to the SAME WiFi network that the printer is connected to you only use it if you are too lazy to get up and walk into the other room or when visiting your restroom of choice. The whole thing won’t serve you if you plan on walking out of your WiFi range and then check on your printer - which is the whole idea of a cam in the box isn’t it? To wrap things up: App doesn’t make sense. Period.

Wifi-Probleme

Es wäre schön, wenn man den Benutzernamen für ein WLAN-Netzwerk eingeben kann, sobald man versucht den Drucker mit eben diesen zu verbinden.

Works only with Wifi-Access

The app itself is ok, you can see your printer, print jobs and the print itself if your Ultimaker has a built in webcam, but what I don‘t understand is why the connection is limited to only wifi access? I mean I can connect to my local LAN using VPN over 4G and can access the printer using its website, why can‘t the app be used? It always needs a Wifi connection.

Useless and not reliable

Only works if both phone and Ultimaker are connected to the same WiFi! It is adverised that it works - at least partially - when the phone is outside the local network. Printer stopped because of lack of filament. Didn’t receive any message. Checked the connection. To me and 99% of the other users it doesn’t make any sense to use the App. Hoping for a Update. Because when you’re sitting next to the printer it works well. For now it is useless.

Nur im lokalen Netzwerk

Leider ist die App nur im lokalen Netzwerk hilfreich. Ich fände es gut, wenn ich von unterwegs auf den Drucker zugreifen kann. Ansonsten top!
