Using an optic sensor, Upmood Watch tracks heart rate variability (HRV) to reveal micro-patterns in your behaviors and emotions with unparalleled accuracy. Then, the Upmood Watch analyzes in-depth biodata to reveal hidden links between how you feel and your emotions. Upmood can detect up to 11 emotions — Calm, Pleasant, Unpleasant, Happy, Sad, Excitement, Anxious, Tense, Confused, Challenged, and Zen, simply from a person’s heart rate, stress levels, and vitality levels. The information is then translated to real time, day-to-day data for users to keep track of their emotional trends and progress.
Aside from tracking the user’s emotions, Upmood Watch is a fully-functioning smartwatch that features a calorie burn counter, BPM, pedometer, timer, camera shutter and receiving incoming calls and notifications. In addition to these handy features, Upmood Watch also features Sleep Mode and Lover’s Mode.
Sleep Mode is an exclusive feature to track your sleep’s progress. Being able to track sleep, Upmood is able to interpret the emotions better, plus the user is able to understand the body’s needs much better than before.
Lover’s Mode, on the other hand, allows users to know their loved one’s real-time emotions. At the same time a cheesy yet warm “Thinking about You” function. This feature further promotes better communication between users, thus, a better chance to build stronger relationships.
Furthermore, Upmood takes emotional awareness to another level by creating MoodMix. MoodMix is another project that works together with Upmood Watch and App.
With MoodMix, every emotion collected through the Upmood Watch is interpreted in the Upmood App and MoodMix creates a playlist that will further improve your mood by playing the right music at the right time.
