Discrimination against Russians
I invested a huge amount of time and effort in this platform, had a top-rated status and many regular clients, satisfied and friendly partnerships. But this platform took all this away from me, guided by its political interests, just because I am Russian! Nationalism in its purest form. How false were the image slogans of this site. You've destroyed what you fought for. Good luck!
Stupid rules, inefficient support
I’ve been using Upwork for two years and recently I was asked to go through an ID verification process. Probably because I’ve been using a VPN (what’s the big deal?) It’s been two weeks since I submitted all the necessary documents and my account is still suspended to this day. I’ve contacted support several times to no avail: they just keep sending me from one support agent to another. Meanwhile I can’t freaking work. This is ridiculous. I’m not even talking about the insane amount of fees that has been added recently. This platform is getting worse and worse by the day.

I sent my data for re-verification, but upwork did not process it. The site itself is rather small. Indians from the US and England hire other Indians from India. The whole world is looking for those who are in the US and ready to do work for them. All other options have extremely low pay.

If you don't agree with that, congratulations - you're a racist. I worked for you for over seven years. You have a great platform...had, until you shut people down just because they belong to a certain race. I understand that you must be under pressure, but somehow I'm pretty sure that soon all the bans will be lifted and we can work together again.
