USDA’s Food Safety & Inspection Service provides the Meat, Poultry & Egg Product Inspection Directory (MPI Directory). The MPI Directory provides 24/7 access to information on regulated establishments that produce meat, poultry, and/or egg products as regulated by USDA’s FSIS.
The USDA MPI Directory app allows customers to ‘look up’ or search establishments by location or zip code, type of inspection, establishment name or number and type of establishment. Customers can look up the information on a mobile device, when it’s needed from any place, anywhere, at any time!
Want to know where your food was produced or what an establishment produces? Just search by establishment name/number location/zip or type of establishment/inspection type.
The USDA MPI Directory app allows customers with or without an internet connection to access the information. While initial download and regular updates to the mobile device will require an internet connection, the directory information resides on the mobile device giving customers the option to look up information without an internet connection.

Outdated, slow, crashes a lot.
Can you do better ??? Crashes all the time and now stops working. I always use it but I have had enough and deleted it!
DOES NOT WORK
This app is useless. Does not work under ios17. Waste of time to download.
Useless
This app has not been updated and nothing comes up when I type in a known establishment’s name or zip code. Why have an app that doesn’t work? When it’s fixed, a good option of searching alphabetically would help, as well.
Crashes on opening
App will not open. Crashes at opening.

While I’m surprised they ever made the app, it now hasn’t been updated in 3 years and no longer works.
7-yr Old App STILL Crashes
US•Duh-published app still crashes for the same exact issue after existing seven (7) years, a review stating as much (total of 3 currently; so not hard to find/see), and a wonky iOS interface that still has poor ‘Release’ coding & QA errors. An app crashing and restarting, like this one, after a zip-code search (when search returns, the “USDA” logo also covers the Back page link) is tried is low hanging fruit easily resolved at the end of a sprint or Release testing. Should we just be happy civil ‘servants’ did something?! Poorly executed app.
Not current
Seems like an awful high number of plants are not in the database. I have updated but still does not appear. Sometimes there are P####+B####+ etc where a single operator processes different species. Need the ability to put in only a single “letter” plus number in order to locate the plant info.
Inspection Directory
This is an easy to use app and results are immediate. It's nice to see what plant you are purchasing your meats from.
