Visible wireless is cheap but the speeds can be REALLY slow (Southwest AZ). It’s sometimes like having dial-up again. I’m in a congested area where lots of people use cell networks for internet, so it’s slow for everybody but when your data is deprioritized it can become painfully slow. The price is great and unlimited hotspot use is a great feature as is unlimited calling to Canada and Mexico.

Telecommunications firms have been competing at cut-throat rates for years, each with lots of contracts, hidden monthly fees, add-on’s and more to bring your monthly bill sky high. Visible seems to be trying to simplify the process by cutting out the extras and just providing a simple, straightforward service (on Verizon’s LTE network) so that you can bring your own phone and sign up for no-frills service at a reasonable price. I feel like this is the beginning of a shift in how phone service will be done and I welcome it.
