Voda: LGBTQIA+ Mental Wellness

This app is SO underrated! I first found out about it through a tumblr ad (which is a great place to advertise an lgbtq+ mental health app btw lol), and honestly, I’ve never tapped on an ad so fast. You guys didn’t disappoint. One of my favourite features is that AI advice thingy. I’m genuinely surprised that it’s free, because of how functional and helpful it is. I’m usually skeptical about AI-related stuff, yes, but when it comes to this specific feature, I think this *is* a great way to use artificial intelligence without doing any harm. Voda helped me embrace my own identity as a gay man and generally made it easier to take care of my mental health. Thank you so much for your work. 🙏❤️🏳️‍🌈

I am a therapist and recommend this app to my clients, it’s really good

I really don’t want to be negative, because I wanted to love this app - I really think it has a place. But I can’t get past the audio quality. The male voice speaks so fast, he sounds a bit like AI, the intonation is all wrong and the dialogue has been edited really badly. You can hear breaths constantly, and there are often cuts right in the middle of them. It’s not relaxing to listen to at all. Your back end server is really slow… navigating the menus and selecting a session feels sluggish. The female voice is slightly better, but again the breaths seem so loud and regular. It becomes so distracting. I hope I can try again in the future.

I am so impressed with the accessibility of this app. Please dont ever change it. Im trans, have experienced a lot of negative blowback from transitioning where i lost my partner, was made homeless and have some unsupportive family members. I don't have any money to spare and the free options in this app have been super helpful alongside other psychotherapy interventions I'm getting. Having enough free options to get help is something not many apps offer and Voda offers quite a bit. Please continue to create free content for LGBTQ+ people to use, I'm sure it saves lives! Its certainly a 5 star from me.

I’m so happy I signed up to Voda. An excellent resource for our LGBT community. Shorter check ins & some longer meditations & therapeutic sessions. All clearly explained & helpful lead by a qualified queer team. Absolutely valued & appreciated, 5 stars Voda - great job !!!!

I’ve been using the app for a week and I’m still impressed with how insightful the advice is. It’s become part of my morning routine and then I can incorporate the recommendations into my day. Having a proactive approach during an unsettled time is helping my resilience while I wait for NHS services.
