Just love my E-Up as a town car and very cheap to run.

Sorry VW but the app is an over complicated mess. I drive a plug in hybrid Golf and my wife drives an ID Buzz. Trying to add each other as a secondary user has proved impossible. What’s the point in adding each other as a user on the cars without any details on the app reference charge levels or preheating etc. As said in other reviews if your not the primary user the app shows you nothing.. very disappointed :-(

I am very disappointed in the new VW App. The previous App had more features, was more user friendly and it worked. This one is glitchy and expensive! I can’t even lock or unlock my car from it, just ‘check’ if it’s locked. Not much help. Both, Volvo and BMW Apps work much better with more functions for a lower price. I do love my ID.3 tho.

Not sure if the app or VW servers but connectivity always lost. Seems not to work in cold weather. Really helpful when you want to remotely defrost the car. Bad product: bad car. No wonder VW are struggling.

This is the worst app for a car that I have ever used. I need to login every time I want to see driving data. I am now logged out until I get home as I reset my S pin. The coms between the car and app take an age and it’s just not well thought out. It’s easier to look to buy a car from it than to see my MPG.

You would have thought that a company like VW would take same care and pride in producing an app that works well and is consistent. This app is awful. You can’t rely from one day to the next that is going to give consistent results. Eg never sure whether range will be in miles or km, whether it will sync with the car, whether AC will switch on or not. Frustrating and bad

The app is really poor. It displays the battery status occasionally, tut the mileage is ALWAYS wrong. It alllows the air on to be turned on but that’s it. It does NOTHING else. I have had numerous apps with my previous cars and this is definitely the worst.

I have downloaded this as guest, my husband is the primary user. This app is totally pointless as a guest and one wonders why they even bothered. I am not even able to see how much charge is left in the car never mind perform anything. It serves no purpose. It’s so bad that it actually prevents me using things in the car - I can’t see necessary statistics etc. so I can now only drive it using my husband’s primary account. Very disappointing and I have deleted the app. I have just see they have announced that they will be improving the guest features. We will see - it certainly can’t get worse.

I don’t understand why only my partner - Primary user - can remotely preheat the car and I, as a named Guest, can’t. When I go to work on an early shift, surely I can’t be expected to wake him up at 0530 for him to access his phone to activate it for me? That’s just nuts. Our previous ev (Audi Etron, 6 years older tech) had no problem. Also if you’re de-icing the windows and you set the rear heated screen and front blower on, as soon as you step out of the car (and your bum leaves the seat) to scrape the side windows, everything switches off. Absolutely useless. My diesel Alfa doesn’t freak out like this. Unfortunately, as a Guest, there is NOTHING of any use to me within this app. Can’t you update the Guest access? Or at least the ability to have a ‘Secondary’ user with access to these modes?

I can believe the estimated charge remaining but the estimated mileage remaining is often two thirds that shown in the car.
