App unbrauchbar!
Warum ist so ein großer Autohersteller wie Volkswagen nicht in der Lage eine App auf den Markt zu bringen, die man ohne Probleme nutzen kann? Das ist echt ein Armutszeugnis…

Total control everywhere: With the VW Media Control app, your tablet or smartphone becomes a remote control for your Volkswagen Infotainment system. For example, you are able to see your current position, the distance to the destination and the remaining driving time on the display. So the question "Are we there yet?" is answered within a blink of an eye. Google® search locations can also be easily transferred to the navigation system as the destination, such as an address from the appointment calendar or the phone book on your mobile device.
Are you more in the mood for music? Balance, fading and volume control are in your hands. You can select any of the available stations either using automatic or manual station search, or tuning directly to the frequency. Of course you can also select your own songs and albums; it doesn't matter if it is through the Infotainment system or an external audio source connected by Bluetooth. When your Infotainment system has an Internet connection, VW Media Control also gives you access to the entire World Wide Web, where you can look up your favorite songs and artists. Don't worry - you can start and stop access for the external devices at any time in the Infotainment system. This is what the best Infotainment looks like!
This Volkswagen app requires the vehicle-specific data interface of either a "Discover Pro" or "Discover Media" radio and navigation system. The range of functions varies depending on the Infotainment system manufacture date. Please contact your Volkswagen dealer with any questions.

Karte wird nicht angezeigt
Seit ein paar monaten wird die Google Karte nicht angezeigt
Bitter! Keine Bearbeitung von Bugs
Ich bin ohnehin nicht der größte Fan von Apps, die Autohersteller programmieren. VW hat dem aber die Krone aufgesetzt. Wie kann man essenzielle Funktionen einer App nicht reparieren, wenn Nutzer sie schon vor fast zehn Monaten als defekt oder fehlend melden? Der Eindruck entsteht, dass man im Hause VW dachte: „Ah, der erste Schuss wird schon reichen. Das nutzt sowieso kein Mensch. Wer braucht schon verletzte Fahrzeuge?!“
Wird nicht gut gepflegt
Die App könnte sehr nützlich sein. Doch leider werden Fehler, wie die nicht funktionierende Kartenanzeige, nicht behoben.
keine Kartendarstellung in der App
Die Kartendarstellung in der App steht nicht mehr zur Verfügung. Bitte die API zu Google Maps korrigieren bzw. alternativen Anbieter ansteuern.
Es wird kein Kartenmaterial mehr angezeigt
Leider kann man kein Kartenmaterial mehr sehen. Man sieht zwar die eigene Position und das Ziel, aber das auf einer leeren Fläche. Es wird keine Kart angezeigt. Insgesamt wäre es außerdem toll, wenn man noch mehr per App abrufen könnte, wie bspw. aktuelle Geschwindigkeit, Fahrzeugzustand etc. Aber das wäre ja "innovativ"...
Seit ios 15 keine Kartendarstellung
Leider ist die Kartendarstellung nicht mehr vorhanden. Man sieht nur noch das Google Logo.(Ipad und ios 15)
Keine Verbindung und keine Anleitung
Vielleicht mal vorne anfangen und eine Anleitung wie ich eure App mit meinem auto verbinde. Oder noch besser Plug and Play. Sinnlose App!
Funktioniert nicht beim B8 Passat
Habe das Discover Media Passat Bj 2020, funktioniert null
Irrer Stromverbrauch
Habe die App nach einem Tag deinstalliert, hat über Nacht den Akku leergesaugt (iPhone 12 mit 100% Akkuzustand). Die App macht keinen Sinn, wenn man CarPlay verwendet.
