WebSports is a free sports app that sends you a notification when a main event happens in a game. It currently supports Cricket and Rugby, but this will soon be extended to Field Hockey and Water Polo.
The focus of the app is entirely on School and Club sport. The teams use the WebCricket and WebRugby scoring applications to score games, whereby the live scores and detailed statistics are then displayed on the WebCricket (www.webcricket.co.za) and WebRugby (www.webrugby.co.za) websites.
As soon as a main event happens in a game (Wicket falls, player reaches 50, try/goal is scored etc.), a notification is sent the WebSports app to alert the user that something has happened in the game. The user can then read what the event is and if they want further information, simply click on the notification to open the game on the relevant website!
WebSports is the perfect app for parents, pupils, alumni and general sports lovers. With our busy schedules these days, we cannot always be at the games to support our teams. This allows us to keep in touch with the teams or participating family members that we love!

Issues
When will the registration issue be fixed. There is no use downloading the WebCricket app if you can’t follow the live scoring
Couldn’t register
Just keep on getting a “error sending request” message?
Don’t Download This App
There is no point downloading this app. It doesn’t let you register your device or login. It continuously gives you an error message when you try to login or register your device. It has been this way for MONTHS already! Not worth the loss of data to download this app. Same goes for the Web Sports App. Very poor from Web Sports. It’s 2020, you should have a good working app in this day.
Does not work
Keeps saying no internet connection when trying to register. I would like to use this app because both my boys play club and school cricket and it would be nice to follow scores while at work.
Cant register
Keeps saying needs a connection....but that is fine. Very complex and unuserfreindly.
Very unstable
Keeps freezing up after short spells of use and complains about No internet connection, when my connection is perfectly fine.
App Crash
I downloaded the app to my iPhone 6. It immediately crashes when I open it.
