WFAA - News from North Texas

App is fine. But please how do I get notifications for news and weather that don’t include sports. I’ve had 9 notifications yesterday - 1 about Congress voting on a budget and 8 about sports! I don’t care! When I go to the settings, the subjects for selection are all turned off. I’m afraid if I turn a few on, I just add to the notifications because nothing is turned on at the moment. A little frustrating. Ok a lot frustrating during college and HS football playoffs.

Prompt notifications of breaking news and accurate weather information.

Despite turning off notifications for all events minus weather, I continued to receive multiple alerts for Mavericks, college football, and other events I was not interested in. App has been removed.

I downloaded the app for weather alerts, and my settings only allow weather related notifications. Instead I receive multiple unwanted notifications for the start of NBA games on other topics I do not want. Repeated requests to the app developers for help stopping this have gone unanswered. Do not download unless you want unnecessary notifications.

According to WFAA RFJ JR is “Anti-Vaccine”. Obviously they have an agenda.

Great app. I use it daily to stay up to date on local and national news.

WFAA is my go to Station. It is what I wake up to every morning to get my engines roaring.

I’m so glad that for so many years channel 8 has been my “go to” for current news and they also promote inspirational stories that make you feel uplifted! Having the app to keep up to date and to vote with is a great bonus!
