Winnipeg Transit

The service has become increasingly unreliable recently; not stating if or when a bus is early or late leaving me waiting in -30 degrees for 50 minutes waiting for a bus that was supposedly due 40 minutes before; either that or the bus was somehow cancelled one way or another and was never once even implied to have been. Never had this issue before.

This app does everything the website does and basically everything the default Maps app on your phone does. The main differences are the ability to see if a bus is running late or cancelled and the On the Go feature. And I guess the ability to search a specific route or stop’s schedule but you can do that on the Winnipeg transit website.

This entire app is planned around them being able to hide how late their busses are. You can’t view the schedule at all, just to see what the scheduled times are, all you can see are the stupid stops

Always late and bad behaviour

ZERO STARS AS IT WONT LET ME REMOVE THE ONE STAR. ITS MIDNIGHT AND NAVIGO TELLS YOU THERE ARE NO BUSSES RUNNING AND YOU HAVE TO WALK 300 MINUTES HOME MOST USELESS APP I HAVE EVER SEEN A SARCASTIC BRAVO TO USELESS I.T. PERSON THAT WROTE IT

Great app. Loads quick, has a pretty good UI, doesn’t require you to sign in. I mostly use it to check a stop schedule, but the trip planning function works well too, on par with Google honestly. A lot of these reviews are using this to winge and complain about transit and Winnipeg in general, or expecting unreasonable things like the app working without data. No, an entire app just to replace the digital sign at a bus stop wouldn’t be good. Someone gave 1 star because there isn’t an Apple Watch app? Give me a break Or how about 1 star because their bus was cancelled? Not saying that’s acceptable, but try voting for people who won’t consistently underfund transit, that’ll do you a lot more good than a 1 star App Store review. There is a lot of stuff wrong with Winnipeg Transit and Winnipeg in general, but should we really be surprised that we have poor public services if we manage to use every outlet available, even the reviews of a genuinely good app, as a chance to complain?

All I want is that black screen that belongs to a stop and shows me the arrival schedule for a particular stop and it doesn’t seem to exist here. I don’t have data or a SIM card at all so if I get a whiff of wifi I want a low-data quick option, not something that loads and loads and never gets anywhere. First you remove most of the signboards at stops, or don’t fix the ones that are still there, then you EVEN REMOVE ALL THE PAPER SCHEDULES and then replace them with something that you need a phone AND data or calling to use? Way to be inaccessible. Way to only privilege people with the resources to access those things. Who do you think is using public transport??????? It’s not only people using it for environmental reasons. Some people don’t even have a phone at all. And the fact that this collects personal information is the icing on the garbage cake here.

Application is showing incorrect info about bus schedule. I planned my trip to work. Bus didn’t come at all. I was forced to use taxi services instead.

The app is design without live update or feedback. Not recommend to anyone depending on local service. A shame it most be rated with 1 star.
