WOMBO Dream - AI Art Generator

No matter what art style I try, I get stuck on the “creating” screen. I’ve trouble shouted online and followed all steps but I’m still stuck. I’m not the only person it’s happened to either. Lots of people are having the same problem starting about 7 months ago. As of yet there is no fix as far as I’m aware. It’s a shame because it was a brilliant app before this started happening. Once it’s fixed I will change my review accordingly.

This is great app for sure but AIs can only create images not art, art has emotion robots and computers do not.

Latest update is a train crash. Quality is appalling with photorealistic images now replaced with sketched cartoon quality. The absurd filters which had been removed are now back again and worse than ever. Time to move on to another App. I’ve had enough of this constant instability and tweaking of something that was working well. More trash variants of Dreamland V3 now being churned out that nobody asked for or wants, at the expense of high resolution quality. Previously: while some of the more ridiculous filters have been removed thankfully (extra star for that), we now have in its place, endless generation times that rarely produce anything. Also lots of complaints about “ failed to fetch feed” errors on social media currently. Previously.. Once again, image quality is steadily going down, having made steady progress recently, with poor quality comic like images produced where high quality realism was previously achieved. There is little stability wrt. what prompts actually produce, as well as absurd constantly changing nsfw censorship restrictions. Meanwhile competing Apps go from strength to strength and prompts always produce a stable and improved image after each update.

I love this app - you can enter a squiggle and it turns into whatever you want - whereas the other apps tend to just put back out what you put in - it understands styles, colours, just all the settings you enter - and I can watch adverts and use the app. I do wish premium was more affordable though. The censorship Is now silly. You can’t use simple words and generating art is becoming difficult. It’s so limiting now. Please bring it back to how it used to be.

As ever, AI-generated imagery is naturally frowned upon because of its risks of breaching intellectual copyrights and undermining fine art and digital art created naturally by hand.

At the beginning it generates really fast but not that good but when you get into it it goes very slowly but the images are great!

I love this App I had it a couple of times all ready, it’s brilliant. BUT!! If you make the photo toooo complex it will just get it completely WONG… So don’t say things like: make me an Yorkshire terrier next to a mine poodle that has a bone in it’s mouth. Cuz that will just get it confused and it would probably only do the Yorkshire terrier sat by itself

Latest: after some great improvements in both UI layout & image resolution within the core Dreamland V3 style, the steady degradation in quality over recent weeks is now really noticeable compared to Jan/Feb this year. What were previously sharp detailed images have recently become more unresolved, grainy or not possible, lacking realism with a “plastic toy” look to them. More generic words are being censored which wipe out options to use them in any context. Once again, quality has been diluted for (what looks like) the sake of churning out relatively mediocre variants of dreamland v3 (clay models? Crochet?) when the key is to compete with the now incredible resolution & quality of other Apps. On a positive note, City V3 was a great addition for detail & creates great seed images. Previously.. Great to see the UI cleaned up a little & the poorly functioning avatar & text editing finally removed. Extra star for that! The four little image boxes placed over the main image is still a nuisance and often hides key image errors that may have meant the image needs to be deleted after saving. It’s not much to ask to have a full view of the images being created is it? - especially now there’s more room on screen. Still long/never ending create times for portraits/people especially, which I suspect is the nsfw filter being not quite sure it can allow people (especially if they have the audacity to have breasts!) Previously… I’ve seen increasingly disgruntled reports on social media of lengthy/never ending creation times which though reported on Discord, is being ignored. It’s sad to see this App struggle and get left behind so much when other ai Apps are improving so rapidly (rather than adding poorly functioning “side shows” that just make the UX worse). There has to be more than just Dreamland V3 spin offs to compete with other apps! I’m really hoping the latest Stable Diffusion update will feed into the App & bring a much needed step closer to the competition. Previously… So, Dreamtime V3 was a great improvement to the App, although most style updates since then have just been a sideways tweak of this style. Sadly the V2 styles have been degraded, just like all the other previous style versions. The nsfw filter is much improved and now makes much more sense. The new “Real time paint generation” is abysmal. Honestly it’s an embarrassment that the devs thought this was ok to attempt to launch repeatedly. It takes up half the screen & I’m willing to bet end-users

Either pay money or watch ads but you won’t get an image relating to what you asked for.
