Intuitive and easy to use. Exactly what I need for my workaway trips when on the go!!

I'm almost as excited to find this app as I am finding the Workaway.info website! It's such a wonderful opportunity, to work 5 hours/day and be able to stay and eat in Europe (or elsewhere), for free! I would've died and gone to heaven to have had such an opportunity in my 20s!! Young people these days have many issues & battles... but they're also blessed with amazing opportunities like this! On a side note, going on the app, where there are no ads!

Workaway is a good service to find volunteering gigs abroad. However the app has been barely working for me for the last couple months. The only reason I am writing this review is that the tech support would start fixing the app.

I have hosted several workers and this app is meant for work in exchange for stay and exploring, well this app does not let host get help in small businesses it will cancel your profile and tell you to hire locally, this is a workaway app isn’t, it has the word work in their name, so pls hosts with Businesses to run avoid making a profile on this nonsense app and workers don’t look for work here you will not get paid for any host on here. Waste of time effort and money for workers. Move to work packers they know what they are doing

Have only been using Workaway for 2 days now but seems to be very simple and user friendly with many features.

Hosts don’t respond to messages what’s the point of the app if none of them respond and didn’t feel safe on the app my personal information was compromised

I had an experience where the host turned out to be blatantly racist, and when I reported her profile, an investigation was never launched and I actually never even received a response from Workaway. She ended up leaving me a lower review (even though I would do extra work on top of a full day's work and go out of my way to be respectful as I was consistently being disrespected) and the only response I received from the Help Desk was that "reviews can't be changed once they're left". So, while unjust, my account will remain with that lower rating forever, and I've already had hosts decline me because of it. My case is also not the only one - I've head stories like this from others as well. Don't take it from me though - I would recommend doing your own research... At this point, my best option is to delete my account, and the membership fee is not refundable.
